Nomad accessories feel luxurious and weighty, giving them an overall heft of quality. The pad has baked in computing with firmware that can be updated, so Nomad says it will improve over time. Does anyone need a wireless charging bowl with yellow underglow, fake wood grain on the outside and fake copper (or faux terra cotta?) on the inside? I don’t know. Size and shape: Since wireless chargers sit out on display, they might as well look good and not take up too much room. Finding a wireless charging pad that can handle a phone and an Apple Watch is easy, but the Samsung Wireless Charging Pad Trio lets you charge your Galaxy Watch in style. As one of our favorite smartwatches, we're happy the Galaxy Watch isn't being ignored with a combination accessory, even if you have to buy it from Samsung.This may sound like faint praise compared to the Zens, but if the Zens isn’t heavily marked down, the Anker is the better buy if you don’t want to wait until you have a MagSafe phone. We love wireless charging because there are no cords to trip over, and it’s so convenient to grab our phone and just go without fumbling. The reason to buy a magnetic Qi charger, then, is if you have a MagSafe phone but want something you can’t get with an official MagSafe charger, like a cord that’s more than 3 feet long. Qi now offers different power specifications and wattages. The most common is 5W (watts), which is the minimum, which all compatible devices support. Some may also support higher wattages at 7.5W, 10W and 15W, though it may vary on the manufacturer and charger. The higher the wattage, the faster the charge.
