Featuring a subtle yet premium look and feel, Hesh 3 is the latest version of Skullcandy's most popular go-anywhere headphone. The HESH 3 Wireless are a couple of headband headphones that were first purchasable in 2017 and produced by Skullcandy. Earpads are a good quality synthetic protein leather that looks as good as new after a couple of months of testing on our set.

It is fully functional and has been professionally refurbished, tested, inspected and cleaned to excellent condition by qualified sellers. The soft, well-padded pad that sits between the top of your head and the headband somehow feels bigger than its actual below-average size. They're lightweight, easy-to-use, and decently portable but unfortunately, they don't block a lot of noise so they won't be ideal if you have a very noisy commute. Bass drops on various EDM tracks from Skrillex and Infected Mushroom sounded pretty good and definitely got the heart pounding.It's not that the headphones are thin, brittle, or overly bright sounding—they deliver excellent high frequency clarity and don't overdo the low frequency boosting and sculpting. One day as he was hauling to the top of a Park City peak for another powder run, he had to yank out his ear buds from his music player and use them to answer his phone. The Skullcandy Hesh 3 headphones are part of the appealing Hesh range, which has offered a wide selection of styles in the past. Plus, the 22 hours of battery life is great when you consider some of the competing headphones on the market.

If you're looking for more bass, check out the Marshall Mid Bluetooth, the JBL E55BT, and the Sony MDR-XB650BT. Unfortunately, the plastic build feels relatively weak and not as dense or as durable as some of the other budget wireless headphones we've tested like the Mpow H10 Wireless or the Anker Soundcore Life Q20 Wireless.The Skullcandy Hesh 3 headset is cleverly built, and smaller than the Crusher headphones, but they still offer an over-ear solution for passive noise cancellation. Unfortunately, they don't have any power saving feature so your battery might drain out if you forget to turn them off. BT Wireless are better mixed-usage headphones than the Skullcandy Hesh 3 Wireless, thanks to their app that gives you access to a good EQ. In terms of a feature set, the Skullcandy Hesh 3 are a basic pair of headphones: You won’t find active noise cancellation, auto play/pause, or multipoint Bluetooth here.

They have a V-shaped sound profile that has a lot of bass and pronounced highs which makes them sound excited. In the box, you’ll get the headphones themselves, along with a microUSB charging cable and an aux cable.

They look great we got the red headphones to review but let’s look into the sound and other elements. Multi-folding hinges allow this full-featured, over-ear headphone to conveniently fold up for easy carrying and storage when not in use. The Skullcandy Hesh 3 pairs well with neutral or dark sounding sources to give the headphones a little more bass if that’s your thing.

The finishing materials such as the matte soft-touch plastic on the earcups and good quality pads also add a touch of class. The headphones also come with a similar build to the Crusher headphones, with an almost entirely plastic build. On the other hand, the wireless range of the Skullcandy is significantly better, and they take half the time to charge for about the same battery life. While their continuous battery life isn't as long as the Skullcandy Hesh ANC Wireless or the Skullcandy Hesh Evo Wireless, they still have around 19 hours of battery life, which is more than enough for a full workday.The vocals get a crisp treble edge, and the guitar strums and percussive attacks get some bright, well-defined presence as well. If you rather not take a risk on the build quality, I would recommend going for the Skullcandy Hesh 2 Wireless instead.
