In terms of gaming and watching movies, this IEM could be considered overkill for the vast majority of listeners. The sounds of explosions, gunshots, and rumbles are clearly heard and add to the enjoyment of these experiences.

I only previously noticed this in the IMR EDP Ace, I put the tone and decay of notes down to the acoustic chamber, it is not reverberation (a note repeating itself) it is the tail of the single note in fractions of seconds. If you play an instrument, you will be aware, that a single note extends well beyond what most care to listen for, it is obvious in a quite place, if you strike just one string, on a guitar and especially a grand piano with its huge acoustic chamber (the huge wooden extension in front of the piano, which opens to reveal the strings). Moving on to the sonic value now, having a pair of planar IEM headphones at home I can confidently say that the competition in this area is really growing. Which makes me very happy. Technicalities capabilities are comparable on both sets but compared to S12 PRO, KZ PR1 is more of an above average when it comes to sound/speaker stage width. The micro-detail is also less well-defined compared to the S12 PRO which has a sharper and well-delineated one. It is also noted that PR1 is a bit harder to drive. Macrodynamic punch is well reproduced, as sudden drops in bass or crescendos maintain their dramatic nature. On the sounds of cymbals, it has a shimmering and sizzle to the point that it might be a bit exaggerated to the point that it might be a tad splashy but nonetheless, it will give more joy and smile to treble-lovers. Hi hats have this shortened, buzzing sound which I think is passable enough. It has an excellent treble air extension with a substantial amount of harmonics that gives me a sense of spaciousness.

The contents of this review should not be considered factual as this hobby heavily leans on subjectivity. YMMV. What I do not want is to be deprived of hearing the various instruments. Excessive mid bass, which drowns out the other parts of the frequency range, but I do want to hear sub-bass, which is occasional in music in any case. I want to hear the midrange, but not to wince when the saxophone blurts out, or a voice shout at me (no matter how good the voice is). I do not want highs which make me want to pull out the earphones from my ears, but I do want to hear the shimmering highs and sparkly notes. The Letshuoer S12 Pro comes with a good bundle, reminiscent of its chi-fi origins. In the box, you get: The LetShuoer S12 Pro has a nicely highlighted treble tuning that is shown with a decent sense of presence in the lower treble region, which is able to produce an efficient level of clarity and definition. The transitions from the upper midrange towards the lower treble region are relative smooth and controlled when I do listen to electro guitars or to soprano voices.Surprisingly power efficient even despite the planar driver it’s carrying. I find myself not pushing too much gain to power these to get to my preferred volume. Planars like the S12 Pro really makes me think that with great implementation, you can get a planar that can be easily run. Of course you might be more sensitive than I am to this region but you should remember that I don't like bright, unforgiving and analytical stuff and the S12 PRO is not. The midbass region of the LetShuoer S12 Pro stands out with its fast and impactful response that is able retrain a good level of clarity and resolution that was pretty audible in songs like Gogo Penguin’s “Murmuration” and “Raven” or Charly Antolini’s “Duwadjuwandadu” that do have some fairly complex passages. Instruments such like a bass guitar, drums or trumpets are repoduced with a good sese of body and musicality. Hre are no negative conditions such like a midbass hump, mudiidnes or mixxings thanks to the well adjusted Planar Magnetic driver.
