The Humax Foxsat HDR can record over 200 hours of standard TV and up to 100 hours of high definition TV effortlessly. Even when you fill the very generous 500gb hardrive on the Humax Foxsat HDR there is a USB slot enabling you to save your favourite TV programs or films to an external hardrive or PC. And I don't think most of the "other Satellite" functions are activated until you've done a minimal (Single TP should do it!) Manual Tune on "freesat 28.2E" This gives lots of extra functionality eg a Web Interface , Streaming, enhanced File Management etc and includes the last release of Humax's last kernel, v1.00.21, for the Foxsat HDR.

You must be running a non freesat tune. To retune in Freesat mode requires access to the Freesat home transponder which is a horizontally polarised transponder. Please can you tell me what I need to do for Foxsat to give me the relevant DLNA link for streaming? That is the proper name for the custom firmware. Pretty sure Raydon always used a rar archive. Works fine with any of the pre-stored Satellites but I can't say whether, to answer the specific issue raised, you can add an entirely new "Satellite" ie one not already on the list. Picture quality is generally impressive but far from perfect. I don't fully understand how the channel number system works. I used to enter 101 and get BBC1 now in Non freesat mode BBC1 is obtained by typing 5027. Thanks Graham I can finally see them after reinstalling Twonky4 media server under root video folders but now I have more questions than before As part of its Freesat+ branding, the Foxsat-HDR includes numerous useful recording features. It will automatically adjust the start and end times of recordings if the beginning of a programme is delayed or moved to a different time slot. You can record a whole season with a single button press, and the Humax will record a repeat of a particular episode if its original broadcast clashes with previously set recordings. Finally, the Foxsat-HDR will recognise when a programme has been split, (as some films are by the news) and record both halves. These features rely on broadcasters providing updated scheduling information, but we had no problems when recording shows on popular channels from the BBC and ITV. I had Twonky4 and Mediatomb was installed but because of these problems I wanted to upgrade to Twonky5 but system wouldn't allow it due to Twonky4 had already t been installed, so I uninstalled Twonky4 and upgraded to Twonky5Don't know if this will help you, but I have my Foxsat HDR set to power on at 12:30 pm and off at 12:40 pm each day, set on CH HD (5001) Also your file says converted mine one says "unconverted". Perhaps that's the issue but if the conversion is only audio related, I can't see why it doesn't play without sound. After leaving Sky a couple of years ago, I bought a Humax FoxSat HDR (RM-F01) and used a Sky Wireless Connector to access On Demand content... With a 320GB hard drive, the Humax FOXSAT-HDR is capable of recording about 200 hours of standard definition programmes, or around 80 hours in high definition (HD). The receiver can collect the whole Freesat 7 day electronic programme guide (EPG) in around 30 seconds.
