I tried that with the BeaconHD extender, and the process was painless. After I plugged the extender into power, the UDR automatically detected it and prompted -- both in the mobile app and the web user interface -- to add it. This is described as “for full UniFi OS Application experience” which is a clever way of saying not just for protect. So while I understand you can use it for video capture for one or two camera's that's not completely what it's there for and I'm not sure would actually be a good idea - just add a surveillance hard drive. I’m also getting the U6 enterprise as I have a smart home and the 2.4Ghz network is getting congested (not sure if it will help as most smart sensors have very basic radios but let’s see).

The one situation that my Pro set up cannot do that SE can is dual WAN with both having beyond a full gigabit speed.
