It might’ve been a cardinal sin to request blue switches with this keyboard, but we wanted to review this keyboard for gaming. Brown or red switches would’ve done this keyboard justice during the sound test. We wanted to test it for the feel during gaming, and man, it’s a great keyboard. Coiled cable is a nice addition, although i wish it was more of a braided type feel, but not a big deal as i don't really care what kind of cable came with it, as long as it works, but it does add to the aesthetic. Accidents, abuse, misuse, improper installation, problems with electrical power, acts of third parties.

I do have some buyers remorse already and keep wondering if that is the right board for me. I was looking into good quality pre-built, hot-swappable keyboards with a 1800 layout (preferably wireless) that'll keep me satiated for a while before I experimenting with lube/switches/tape etc. RGB is nice and subtle. Not much to choose from as far as patterns, but not really a big deal for me. Addition of the log LED is nice, not sure the use of it, but neat i suppose. Beyond the slightly odd (and high for Keychron!) pricing, there's little to complain about with the Q5. A 3,000mAh battery is pretty standard, and gives you decent usage, assuming you've got the RGBs off. It feels like there's something of a mechanical keyboard renaissance recently, with boutique brands producing some stunning keyboards with unique designs and advanced features for surprisingly little money. I've selected five of the best that have passed over my desk in the first half of the year, from ultra-premium numbers to more affordable options, so take a look - even if you're not a mechanical keyboard fan, you might find something that sparks something here. It takes gasket material and silicone on both the top and bottom edges of the plate and PCBA. The top-grade gaskets and silicone of the gasket-mounted keyboards absorb the impact of every keypress, which creates a flexible, softer, and cleaner typing experience. Bluetooth. or 2.4GHz wireless with a dongle is probably the best case scenario. I like wireless keyboards, but I understand the design constraints of adding in a battery and the PCB requirement to allow for switching. This might increase the price, of course. Conclusion The aesthetics of the keyboard are great and the front brass badge and RGB strip between numbpad and modifiers is a nice touch The usb c port is incredibly tight and takes time to accept cords easily. Thought mine was broken until I gave the cord some force to get it to seat fully.You must return an item in the same condition as it was received.
