I enjoyed the simplicity of this story where it all starts from the hero publishing a clip of him and the heroine together. After the hero achieves what he wants by releasing the clip, I eye-rolled at the hero telling his friend to delete the original clip, as if people might not screen-record or in some way save the clip on their phone. Shantel published “Undescribable,” her debut novel in 2013, and has since then become a somewhat prolific author. She has now written more than two dozen works and has shown no signs of slowing down any time soon. When she began writing “Undescribable,” it was a small idea that would become a dream. He got the inspiration for the “Undescribable” series from an idea that had been marinating in her mind for a few years.

Yes this is a step-brother/sister romance. Degration is a huge trigger warning for this one folks - if that aint your style, this aint for you. That was the only cool thing she did, she was so up Colt’s ass that she could never stand up to him and say no. The author was born in Texas but now makes her home in Tulsa Oklahoma where she lives with her husband. She met her supportive and wonderful husband while they were both in high school and they now have two kids.He believes he has done her a favor, even though she feels like she has been given a death sentence. He had refused to get married as he is still in love with her but it does seem that he wants more power and money.

Tbh i don't have any problem with any trope mentioned in the book but the only problem here was how author portrayed each one of them. What a WASTE of tropes. I genuinely disliked both the characters so much. That being said, I LOVED the smut. Shantel can write an amazing sex scene and it never disappoints.The hero. What can I say? He is not going to be for everyone. He degrades the heroine but they both get off on it. It’s consensual, while I personally would punch him but they both loved what he did. I did love his possessive nature.

I’ve heard people say it’s hard to pinpoint the exact second you fall in love with someone. I’m pretty sure it was the moment I first saw her. And I’ve been falling ever since.” This story had a lot going on and at times was a bit hard to read but my lord I could not put it down! This book is not just a little dark! It is a dark dark romance.What I love about the OTT J/P trope is that the guy can’t stand to have anyone near his woman. No one can touch her except for him. She is HIS and his alone. Someone is going to have to explain to me how Colt was J/P when the prologue starts with him sharing Raylee with his two other friends, videotaping the whole thing and then posting it on the internet for the whole world to see! It made no sense! Like… you’re so jealous and possessive, but you’re going to allow your two BEST FRIENDS to fuxx your girl?! You’re going to allow the whole world to see her naked?! 🤨🧐

It’s certainly unsettling in places- and for some, it may be unsettling in not a good way. For others, it’s unsettling in that captivating taboo way, the boundary pushing entracing kind of way. Shantel has a go big or go home approach to the story telling here as she unflinchingly embraces all that makes these characters (and some fun side characters) just so messed up. It’s certainly the kind of connection that makes you question yourself for being curious about it, and I did love how bold they both were in pursuing what they wanted and were pretty much willing to burn the world (and each other) down to get it. If the writer decided to make this a novella,it would have saved us a lot of time since it’s not just pure smut,but combined with traumatic actions that don’t make up anything for the story or favor the plotline.It had some type of potential,but it was all wasted. It didn’t provide any type of character development,also. Shantel Tessier’s novel “Code of Silence” is the story of a woman with a feared and dangerous husband. I did not feel a connection with literally any character. Colton was so narcissistic it wasn't believable he had a caring bone in his body. Raylee just casually cheated on her boyfriend Nate constantly with Colton (but i thought they hated each other with a passion?) Nate seemed like a really nice guy at first and then all of a sudden when he saw her after the breakup at the party he turned into an abusive psycho ex who was going to make her pay?
