With a live audience, I don’t get too much compression with the reenactment of different layers. When clapping started, the PA7 filled the room with dynamic energy giving each individual their personality for quite a realistic sound. Also because of the dynamic range, the A30 Pro creates a good sense of layering within the soundstage. However, the furthest element still has a sense of being a bit too close. Disclaimer: ShenzhenAudio sent us the Topping G5 Portable DAC-AMP for this review. As always, I am here to convey my honest experience with the product. Topping The switch has two usable modes, normal and lift. I never had to use the switch up to now although I only connected 2 pieces of gear and separate components to the rear panel simultaneously. But it seems ground isolation is well controlled but aside, it’s good to have that feature there just in case.

When a headphone amplifier is required at the same time, it is recommended to use LA90 with A90 or A90 Discrete. They not only provide the headphone amplifier, but also can be used as a pre-amplifier for the LA90. It is worth mentioning that, the A90 Discrete also supports remote control and input expansion. Separately, the headphone outputs have a 2-step selectable gain which uses unique settings for the balanced and single-ended sides. It employs a low gain of +6 dB and a high gain of +19.8 dB on the balanced side and the single-ended side has a low gain setting of 0 dB and a high gain of +13.8 dB. The Topping DX3 Pro+ is a budget-friendly, high-fidelity DAC & AMP combo that can decode PCM up to 32bit-768kHz and DSD up to DSD512, natively. It is powered by the critically acclaimed ESS Technology’s ES9038Q2M premium-tier DAC and it features Topping’s NFCA amplifier circuitry. Additionally, the DX3 Pro+ fully supports LDAC thanks to Qualcomm’s high-tier Bluetooth chipset, the QCC5125. I think the DX3 Pro+ seems like a complete unit that’s priced competitively and will be hard to match by rivals, feature-wise. Without further ado, let’s see how it performs, together. Together, the E50 and PA5 make a great little budget, baby pre-power amplifier combination – with a clean, detailed and engaging sound. Indeed I couldn't help but reflect on the superb value offered by this brand. In terms of sound quality, Topping Audio compares favourably with rivals easily costing two or three times as much. Every NFCA module amplifier I’ve heard from Topping to me seems to have the same characteristics sonically including the L70. They portray an overall neutral sound signature which seems to be absent of coloration that also tends to share an impactful and vivid presentation.Recently though, Topping has talked to us about the release of their contender for a midrange solution that still utilizes their NFCA technology, while having options for balanced input and output ports. However, the ZEN CAN has a high dynamic range production and there’s plenty to like about the overall sound signature especially if you like tinkering or prefer a bit of color. The ZEN CAN is the only model within this comparison that has features to boost the bass or alter the overall sound. It gets a bit interesting towards the rear. With XLR/TRS balanced inputs, Topping is not gatekeeping users of PA7 to get the XLR-capable E70. But to those that will, it is pleasant to see that the inputs and outputs of the two devices are aligned for easy cable management.

However, images are generally formed a bit closer to the listener, so the sense of separatiThe L70 is capable of a nicely done frontal stage that can portray a deep, distant sound alongside a frontal secondary tone. This, alongside an ability to extract reverberance and a credible 3-dimensional panorama that envelopes due to the inclusion of some rear projection, all make this an interesting combo to listen to. Approximately 5 years have passed since the original D30 was launched. The D30 was a great DAC and loved by the audiophile community. Topping has released quite a few new products since then, and DACs have improved significantly, especially in the last two years. In my opinion, following this, Topping wanted to build a DAC that was both to challenge this year’s DACs and to honor the success of the D30. Let’s see together if the D30 Pro is a DAC worthy of continuing the success of the original D30. Limited as the PA7 may be in features as it stays true to its purpose of being a trusty device in delivering loads of power to passive speakers, the simplicity makes it feel familiar quite easily. With only four things to set, even less after the initial operation, the PA7 joins the list of user-friendly units. For a more value-friendly option to extend the stage of the L30 II, the HD560s with its airy and light presentation displayed the evenness in image distribution of the amp. Gaining a bit of low-end weight from the L30 II, the treble region of the HD560s on the other hand felt a little busy at times. The sound impressions were completed by pairing the PA7 with a Chord Electronics Qutest DAC and a pair of Monitor Audio Silver 50 passive bookshelf speakers. Timbre
