Oct 25 Yearning Teens, Frustrated Romance, Pretty Skies — Is There Anything Else to Makoto Shinkai? I like the first third of the manga since it focuses on the two main protagonists, but after that the flow of the story is all over the place. The author just shoves the two other couples (Kiyo+Miki and Tarou+Kagura) into the story whenever it seems convenient. It is annoying that they are usually abruptly thrown in and removed here and there whenever the plot needs them.

To say the art is good would be akin to me calling the first mango you bite into when summer starts satisfying. PPS I couldn't resist gushing even though I've barely read 2/3 of chapter 1 while I'm writing this down! I find that it's the character development I'm seeing from the male lead that I like the most. He started from being a womanizing, superfluous male lead to a boy who is experiencing his first love that confuses him and tries to be more considerate to his crush. He is not the typical playboy male lead who acts like a jerk towards the female lead, even though yes he teases Riko quite a lot but he is more aware of her feelings. I like him a lot as the male lead. Oct 28 NBA Star Rui Hachimura Gets Animated and Possibly Saves the World in New Crayon Shin-chan Episode tenacious. Her worst trait is probably her denseness that some are finding annoying that is causing all the drama in the story. Add in to the male lead always thinking ahead of himself and misunderstanding situations this is like the biggest flaw of this manga. The slow pace and drama-fueled story can annoy some but I'm fine with the developments that have been happening. Hatsu*Haru by Shizuki Fujisawa features a heartwarming love story between a wannabe womanizer and a tomboy. Kai, the protagonist, likes playing with girls' hearts. However, he runs into a challenge after meeting Riko, who wants nothing to do with his nonsense.Among so many characters and couples, it is entertaining to choose some (MisakixAyumi forever) and have fun seeing how the boys are the ones who chase the girls, and they seem to hold the relationship, while the boys wait to confess, hold hands, first kiss...wait, I'm still talking about Kai... Kamisama Kiss features one of the greatest love stories in animanga history. Nanami is an average girl who got evicted because of her father's financial irresponsibility. Then, she became the Land God because of a chance encounter. Now, she's responsible for maintaining the shrine and dealing with Tomoe, a stubborn fox yokai turned familiar. PS I don't want to spoil anything for folks since it's just one chapter out, but the straightforwardness of the two leads, the humor in the dialogues and the amusing direction of the story are not to be missed! You'll love how this heroine isn't over the top in any regard, but puts the hero and his inflated sense of princely self into his place over and over! This is a shoujo manga that has a male lead as the protagonist, told from his point of view it deviates from the standard shoujo genre.
