Description

Purity, freshness and elegance – are essential characteristics, expressed in this champagne which embodies the spirit of the House. Tart raspberries, peppery green herbs, a small but intense sweet-salty-dark-sharp note of balsamic vinegar. This stylish champagne is a blend of wines from more than 55 crus or villages and between 10 and 20% of reserve wines are used. Grape varietals: a majority of Chardonnay, over 50% Pinot Noir, between 30% and 35% rounded out with Meunier, between 10% and 15% + Reserve wines between 15% and 30%* to ensure perfect consistency in style.

However, in 1968, Laurent-Perrier broke tradition and changed sparkling wine forever when they created their world-famous Rosé.Indeed, Laurent-Perrier are one of the most reductive in style, serving to enhance their fruity expression and smoky complexity.

Laurent-Perrier was established in Tours-sur-Marne in 1812 and was the first family-owned independent Champagne House. Laurent-Perrier is to be found out in the countryside, in extensive grounds near Tours-sur-Marne, in contrast to the great majority of big Champagne houses which operate from town sites in Epernay and Reims. Its bubbles are insistent, finely carved and add to the early sensations of lightness and energy yet also carry the wine long into a balanced, refined finish. Created in 1812, the success reached its zenith in the ’50s, thanks to Bernard de Nonancourt, one of the greatest individuals in modern Champagne. Though a replacement for Laurent Perrier's traditional Brut NV expression, it is far more than simply a new label, with an entirely new composition.

By the time he retired from his role in 1983 Laurent-Perrier had introduced winemaking technology to enhance all the blends creating fruit forward styles in the lightly reductive style. Maceration, Vinification and Blending Grape varietal: For blending, only the musts of the cuvée are used, so only 80% of the grape juice is extracted from pressing.
