It is a story of human (and animal) connections in uncertain times, how people can deceive themselves, and how we maintain our illusions rather than confronting the truth. It is a social commentary on the increasing artificiality of our world. I think it is particularly pertinent to our present time.

Since age 12 I have loved historical Fiction pre war of the states (aka civil war). More recently I happened upon Clan of the Cave Bear. To my way of thinking this is a work or creative genius to write such compelling “historical fiction” in such delightfully mesmerizing manner making fiction facts so real as to be convincingly “historical”.
