Whether you're just getting started with brewing filter coffee at home, are looking to upgrade your kit or simply need some more filters - Hario's got you covered.On a whim, I decided to check out a product from Hario -trusted manufacturer of the V60 dripper- that looked promising: the Mizudashi Cold Brew Pot.

Either way, a cold-brew system or an iced-coffee machine is the way to get perfect results every time. This compact little machine is super easy to use, and a great option if you’re looking for a relatively frill-free coffee machine. The borosilicate glass carafe feels high-quality in the hand, and it was easy to learn to operate on the first try from the instructions. The regular lid can twist to the side to expose the pouring spout, which does a fine job of letting us pour the brew into a glass.This can be great if you’re really into your icy brews, because the machines will tweak how it makes the coffee to create a drink with a deeper flavour.

With the ice-coffee machines we followed the instructions, looking at how good the icy brew was versus how much of a faff it would be to use. Creating a cold-brew coffee on this machine is easy – set the grind to four to six, grind the coffee, tamp it down on the machine until you have the perfect dose, and then select “cold brew” on the dial of the machine. Keep in mind this recipe is a starting point and brews a beverage for my personal preference; a strong but bright and vibrant iced coffee beverage. Simply place ground coffee into the filter, add fresh water and leave overnight for a cup of milder coffee with a rich flavour. If you're making a cocktail [with cold brew], you don't want an already diluted coffee, because then your cocktail will be diluted.The actual item you receive may differ from that which is displayed, for example the box may have changed or a model may have been upgraded or changed after we have added the product online. Just place your favourite coffee ground in to the filter, add some fresh water and leave it overnight to enjoy a perfect cup of coffee over ice or on its own in the morning. Once you’ve reached your desired brew strength, all you need to do is pull out the brewing chamber, lid the carafe, and throw it in the fridge or you can serve over ice right away.

After trying a few brews, I thought I’d share my findings and thoughts and help people looking for a way to make some great cold brew at home. As well as standard latte flavour, there’s also hazelnut, caramel and chocolate latte blends to try. BREW INSTRUCTIONS Simply unscrew the filter from the lid and fill with course ground coffee to the top of the white mesh, then screw back into the lid.Our tests found that the brew was very smooth but not completely without grounds, and we noticed it isn't as concentrated as some other cold brew tools might be.
