The upper provides a great lockdown throughout that handles trails, uneven surfaces, and turns really well without much problem at all. Even more, it's got protection written all over it, so don't worry about achy feet and legs after racking up miles on the pavement. Smoothening out the heel bevel and integrating it with the midsole better could make this a shoe of the year type of trainer. I actually didn’t notice the weight much while testing which is a surprise and a testament to their ability to get the job done without fanfare or fuss. Previously editor of Wareable, he also co-ran the features and reviews sections of T3, and has a long list of bylines in the world of consumer tech sites.

I do feel like these are responsive and did a faster run in them than the Hoka Arahis or certainly the Brooks Adrenaline! The next great innovation has always been right at our fingertips—from speed shoes to trail running shoes and walking shoes to casual classics. While the rubber thickness is often associated with its durability, given the long shelf life of Saucony shoes in general, we expect it to last. If you are a footwear rep looking for footwear reviews or consultations on development, we are currently looking to partner with companies to assist, discuss and promote footwear models.The previous version had a pretty sharp bevel to the heel that almost felt a little too harsh on the landing, but this one is much smoother. The outsole of the Ride 15 takes a page out of the Novablast’s book with its long, deep decoupled groove that extends from the heel, into the lateral side of the outsole. These new straps work like a charm and I have a feeling we’re going to see these on many future Ride versions. Unfortunately this shoe is inferior to mach4, hyperion tempo, even to the novablast2, shoes that I use for daily miles.

Over the midfoot however, the gusseted tongue hugged my foot nicely and I didn't have an issue in the toe box either. These aren’t super performance shoes designed to smash out PBs in, but if you want something reliable and easy to throw on for most of your runs, this certainly fits the profile. The midsole is a bit firmer than average as well, at 29HA it's 20% denser than average shoes, so it shouldn't pack out prematurely. The 860 has a more streamlined cut and seems to bring me onto my toes more readily than the Guide, with Guide 14 providing a more substantial-feeling base underfoot.
