That's why we source our leaves from Rainforest Alliance Certified tea gardens, and why we're working hard with the Ethical Tea Partnership to make life better for the farmers, families and communities that help make our tea. The use of ethyl acetate as a decaffeinating agent has the full approval of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Our Green and White tea blends contain tea sourced from China, and we have an extensive testing and tasting regime to ensure they meet our very high quality and safety standards. One of the ways in which we are fulfilling these responsibilities is through our collaboration with the Rainforest Alliance. Green and Black Tea are both derived from the same plant (Camellia Sinensis) and their leaves contain similar amounts of caffeine.This tea-bag form also allowed us to put more tea in each tea bag, enabling a fuller, stronger brew per cup. The moistened tea then comes into contact with ethyl acetate, which selectively absorbs caffeine and removes it from the tea.
