When you apply the ointment to the skin, or use it instead of soap, these oils stay on the surface of the skin to prevent water evaporating from the skin surface. If you're using a steroid cream or another treatment for your skin condition, wait 20 to 30 minutes between using an emollient and using the other treatment. Ask a doctor which one to use first. Urea (10% w/w), white soft paraffin, maize starch, isopropyl myristate, glyceryl tribehenate, palmitic acid, sorbitan laurate and polyoxyethylene fatty glyceride. Hydromol cream is formulated to be used as often as needed to help moisturize and relieve dry skin.
