Mr. Conrad's estranged son sets out to prove that Willa has conned his father. Intending to confront her, instead he gets to know her and it's not hard to figure what happens from there. As the movie goes on we find out more about that estrangement and the wounds it has left in him. The story was good. At first, Finn comes across as a bit mean and vindictive, ready to fight our noble single mother Willa for the inheritance that he felt he was cheated out of. But we eventually realize that it's not about the money for him. It's about the bitter feelings he still harbors because of his father abandoning his family when he was young. As an illustrator of children's books, we know he is a good guy at heart. It only takes a few interactions with the genuinely nice Willa and her adorable son scout to bring out his good side. I loved how the relationship developed naturally between Finn and Willa and Scout. Nothing was forced. They also avoided the stupid faux enemy phase at the start of their relationship. Most romance movies seem to require that, but it usually comes across as kind of ridiculous. It's perfectly fine to have a guy and a girl just like each other from the start, without all the silly confrontation.

Perhaps the ending is a touch on the pat side, common with Hallmark. Do have to agree too that one character's change of heart does not make much sense (if there was any explanation provided it did escape me), is revealed too suddenly.This leads to Willa leaving Bramble House with Scout, but not before they stop at the town Christmas tree for one last look. This gives Finn and Molly the chance to catch up with them ­– and for Finn to successfully plea with Willa for a second chance. Our Review of “A Bramble House Christmas” ?? The Nice List ?? Finn ends up bonding with both of them – making gingerbread houses, taking a carriage ride, ice skating, and helping Scout make his first book as a Christmas present for Willa. When Finn Conrad’s recently deceased father leaves his nurse Willa Fairchild (that he only knew for a very short time) fifty thousand dollars in his will, Finn travels to the Bramble House B&B in Marietta, Montana, where Willa is spending Christmas with her six-year-old son, to find out some answers from her. Once he meets Willa and gets to know her, Finn finds that she is far from the gold digger that he thought her to be and falls for both her and her adorable son, Scout. Willa Fairchild ( Autumn Reeser), a caretaker, is on her way to the Bramble House bed and breakfast, with her son, Scout ( Liam Hughes).

Ultimately, Scout got his Christmas wish – to stay at Bramble House as long as possible. But it almost didn’t happen because of Finn. Scout became friends with Finn, but Finn had ulterior motives and was lying to Scout and Willa for most of the movie. Egged on by his bitter mom and concerned sisters, Finn Conrad goes to Marietta, Montana to see who this woman is and what hold she had on his father....

But that all changes when he meets Willa and her son at Bramble House. It turns out Scout is a huge fan of “Everyday Sam” books, which Knightly coincidentally happens to illustrate. Throughout my whole Christmas film completest quest undertaken since late 2019, an interesting quest but very mixed one, there was never the mentality of expecting a classic or the film in question to be flawless. Something that was never managed with Hallmark's output. There was however always the expectation of seeing a film where one can see at least some effort rather than merely cash-in level. One could see that with enough of Hallmark's output but not all. How can we stay mad at Finn after he promises to make everything up to her and Scout, promising the best Christmas, New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, Arbor Day and even National Ice Cream Day. “Any day that you will let me make special for you.”
