I mean… it actually includes a lot of sports references including the team mates, the coach and playing the aforementioned sport. he kinda just waltz back into her life and was like ”yup youre mine and you gotta tell me everything” like bitch? They are both there for a second chance, Ivy to prove she can get her life back on track and Ayden to restart his football track to the NFL after some past troubles. I may not agree with some of their justifications, especially with the heroine, but I grasped the true reasons behind their actions.

i mean ivy’s whole story is her having issues with her family only to have like a chapter with her finally talking to them about it? Celeste, friends to lovers, sports, enemies to lovers, second chance, college, emotional, and a happily ever after. She is also the most honest representation of someone who had to struggle to survive and dealt with depression.But she was a honest representation of a girl who suffered, who was depressed, whose past haunts her still. Ivy came off as someone who didn’t care much for anyone and focused on herself such as grades/ work and getting by in life. Early on the mystery behind what happened between Ivy and Aiden fascinated me, but also the way Aiden was surprised at how Ivy behaved led me to assume that the Ivy that Aiden was reunited with wasn’t the same girl he knew from years ago when they were kids. What the heroine went through was really sad and I liked that the heroine continued to work through her issues and just because she and the hero got together she isn't all of a sudden fixed. This girl's actions and reactions could characterized as wrong from the mass, but if you will read this story, you will realize that Ivy was just a broken girl who was a survivor.

I loved Ivy and Aiden, I loved the side characters like DJ, Caleb, and Raine, the friend group in the story was sweet.

Their journey was paved with thorns and ugly storms, but they proved to us that together, they could conquer everything and find the road to happiness! I really liked that and I thought he treated Ivy with respect which she didn’t get from anybody else. I suffered through this whole book even though it was boring as hell, thinking there an interesting plot twist somewhere in the middle or end but no. Admittedly this won't be for everyone, our heroine does suffer from self harm and it didn't fully go into the details as some might want it to, it was glossed over not making that the full focus of this book and I was ok with that.

It's so funny when I checked out my friends' reviews on this book, one person love both Aiden and Ivy, one person hates both of them, one person hates Ivy more. I’ve lived the last few years believing that there aren’t such things as regrets because every decision made, no matter the outcome, is a lesson learned. Safety: trigger warning for attempted suicide, suicidal thoughts; 3+ semi explicit scenes with sexual content. i didnt hate her but her character definitely annoyed me at times with her constantly pushing aiden away.Seeing Aiden reach out to Ivy and try befriending her again made me nostalgic for them because, them having known each other since they were kids showed that long ago they were each other’s support system. There is a lot of family drama and I genuinely felt so sorry for the heroine, cause I can't imagine not having the support my parents give me and the fact that she didn't have that, its no wonder she went through so much. Her Heartbreak series is what inspired my bookstagram journey because I felt like everyone needed to read her books right away, and I have no regrets.
