The Partybox 1000 was one of the first Partyboxes JBL came out with, and it’s still on its first generation.

However, everything else about the 710 is pretty much the same as the 310 and 110. The 710 has 2 quarter inch inputs so that you can plug in a pair of microphones if you want to do Karaoke. Which I’m sure your neighbors are going to be so happy. I know I am. And if you want, you can play around with the bass, treble and echo on your microphone. However just keep in mind this will only affect the sound of your microphone not your music. And there’s also these DJ effects buttons. Now personally I wouldn’t use them… but they’re there. And you can customize them through the Partybox App.

In view of the dimensions and performance of the JBL ParyBox 710, it is clear that a rechargeable battery is not sufficient for operation. This solution can only be operated directly from the mains, which should be mentioned for the sake of completeness. You might not care for a light show in which case the best wireless speaker you can buy is the T3 five-star rated Naim Mu-So 2nd Gen. The sound is huge and it looks super sophisticated too. In principle, one could of course also speak of a Bluetooth speaker with the new JBL PartyBox 710, after all, Bluetooth is also used here as the primary signal transmission, for example from a smartphone. If you need to fill a larger space or simply want even more power, simply pair two PartyBox 710 speakers at the touch of a button. You can pair the speakers wirelessly, using TWS (True Wireless Stereo) sound or via a daisy-chained, wired link.

On the top panel, there are a few different buttons and dials to control the speaker as well as a handy slot to hold your phone. You’ll be able to adjust the bass, treble and echo using the three main dials, and there’s a Bass Boost button as well.So sound signature wise, the 710 has your standard Partybox sound signature of strong mids and highs so that vocals are well defined and the bass comes in when it has to. Now regarding the bass boost feature… like I mentioned earlier, if you’re going to use this speaker indoors I think it sounds perfectly fine with bass boost turned off. And trust me there is way more than enough bass. However if you turn on bass boost, you’re going to notice that the 710 really only increases the physicality in your bass. The mids and highs stay relatively untouched. Overall, when you turn on the bass boost on this speaker… you’re really turning on your earthquake machine. Cause the physicality you get out of this speaker is insane. And when it comes to max volume… this thing gets disgusting loud. Personally I feel that for indoor use 25% to 38% volume is going to be more than enough. And for outdoor use, I don’t think you’re going to need to go past 60% volume. Any higher and you’re most likely going to get a visit from the cops. Personally I really feel that this speaker is overkill for personal use. Especially for indoor use. Pushing that button a few times adds a ton of bass, making those who love a lot of bass very happy. For lovers of a more neutral soundstage, the standard out-of-box setup is nearly perfect. We also need to remember that this is a party speaker for big parties. So BIG sound is essential, and the JBL PartyBox 710 delivers that BIG sound in spades. That all adds up to 1100 watts of face melting power – that stays clean and distortion free, even at max volume. (That can’t be said for other brands I’ve tried.) If you prefer to keep the input source wired, a 3.5mm input lets you hook up to a mixer or music source the conventional way. A USB interface lets you plug and play your stored music from a USB media device.

One word can describe the JBL PartyBox 710, and that word is BIG. The 710 is no joke; it is a monster and weighs in at over 60lbs. For some perspective, the 710 is almost as tall as my 7-year old daughter and weighs more than her. For live music action, a mic and guitar can also be plugged in, making this PartyBox ideal for intimate gigs, karaoke and, of course, party DJs. At 800W, the sound is undeniably huge. The JBL PartyBox 710 will literally shake your walls, especially when you turn on Bass Boost. Even at about a quarter of the volume it completely filled up my living room and probably annoyed the neighbours. If you’re a party host then it’ll definitely get things going.
