It's a really entertaining read, with fun facts, witty anecdotes, and a whole lot of personality accompanying every sentence of this guide.You don't need a physical board (which was essentially required for every other book that predates this one). He breaks down the details of chess in a way that is simultaneously easy to follow and yet not pandering to the uneducated. Rozman's new book explores chess from all angles and contains up-to-date information on the latest opening theory as well as basic chess strategy that will help pre-teen chess players develop a solid foundation in the principles of chess - from openings to middle game to end game.The only downside of the first half of the book (part one) is that it's just too basic (and time consuming) for the players who are not beginner at chess.
