I especially love the way this story was told. I can’t imagine a better way to tell Em’s past than through this novel. It was a brilliant way to let us see it through her eyes as well as Jase’s. I think Renee writes so beautifully and it really shone through with this story. It was such a special book to me. It’s one of those stories that will stay with you and imprint on your heart. Say you’ll never ever leave from beside me / ‘Cause I want ya, and I need ya / And I’m down for you always” A lyric about not giving up – No matter how tough things get, Drake doesn’t quit. He continues to build his dream, and he won’t stop until he dies. This is all the motivation you need on a rainy day. Renee Carlino truly outdid herself. I've read every book she's written and this one is my favorite. In fact, it's also one of the best books I've read this year! It's captivating and intriguing, utterly addictive, and filled with the emotional intensity that comes with a heart-wrenchingly powerful love that's been given a second chance. I absolutely loved it!! I’ve read all of Renee Carlino’s books, and Swear on This Life is by far the best one. This author always has a way with words, but she truly outdid herself with this story. I am not always a fan of second chance romances. There always seems to be something that doesn’t work for me, but this one was written perfectly. There is nothing I would change. I loved every word!
