A younger expression from Brugal, their XV Rum is a blend of rums, aged first in white American oak barrels for three to eight years. They are then aged for an additional two to three years in ex Pedro Zimenex sherry casks. The result is the perfect combination of dry and sweet with incredible smoothness. This ultra-premium rum follows in the footsteps of Barceló Imperial Porto Cask, and Barceló Imperial Mizumara Cask.

Consumers are beginning to appreciate and demand the organoleptic properties of high-end dark aged rums and different cask-finished rums. Even if we have gained recognition among the rum producers, there is a lot of work to do for consumers to fully recognise the premium rum industry. Barceló Imperial Maple Cask is a rum that boasts a dark amber-brown colour and reddish tones, akin to maple leaves in autumn, and ochre colour of the stills in which the rum is made. The liquid delivers aromas of melted caramel, plum, vanilla, and maple honey. Overall, the Ron Barcelo Imperial Rum is matured for ten years, finishing with two years in horizontal French oak barrels.
