Yes, you can reuse a mushroom grow bag. However, it's important to properly sanitize the bag before reusing it to prevent contamination. Start by thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the bag with a bleach solution or other suitable sterilizing agent. Make sure to rinse it well afterward to remove any residue. Seal the bag with micropore tape once inoculated to create a controlled environment inside it. Micropore tape allows for gas exchange while effectively preventing contaminants from entering. To help aid colonization, you could use one of our Ultimate All in One Incubation and Fruiting Chamber’s. Alternatively, you could use a small storage holes and melt/drill holes into the sides to make you a mini incubator. An incubator helps to keep temperatures stable within your project, whilst maintaining air flow through small air holes. Mushroom spawn bags are commonly used for inoculating substrate with mushroom mycelium, while substrate bags serve as containers for fully colonized mycelium ready for fruiting.
