It is definitely not dated just because it doesn't smell like the 5th million clone of Bleu de Chanel or Sauvage or Aventus. Lalique Pour Homme EdP (Lion) is a classical type of men's fragrance with a touch of dustiness. If you appreciate this type of fragrances, you'll probably like this one. Personally I love this fragrance. For the type of fragrance it represents, it is very versatile and wearable. To some, this might sound "generic" but is not what I mean to say. The drydown on Lalique EdP maybe isnt as punching, strong or pungent as some other same kind of fragrances have, but this is a good thing. It makes this very lovely scent even more wearable - suitable for pretty much any season, any event, though at hot weather you will want to control your sprays.

This fragrance is very elegant, it could be used day and night, and almost all year round, except for summer, where there would be cooler options. I think that a mature public will appreciate this fragrance more, but I don't doubt that there are young people who like it. If you want something lighter, more conservative, and more citrus oriented, then go with the EDT. For something a bit bolder, go with the EDP. I think both smell fantastic. I far prefer the opening of the EDT, but overall prefer the EDP.

Still, whilst I personally dislike it, I can absolutely recognise the excellent craftsmanship in this, it is really well done for the price. A very pleasant powdery citrus with a very light fougere quality, thanks to the lavender, iris, jasmine & lily-of-the-valley; thankfully not too heavily forward for me. The woods are certainly there but not dominant in any way, letting the vanilla note into the mix nicely. I also almost get a slight hint of Yuzu in there too, although I suspect that’s the Pomelo note talking. As with all of the other Lalique fragrances I own, I have no complaints with this one whatsoever and Maurice Roucel has done a wonderful job of blending everything together seamlessly, so all the layers flow into each other without ever jarring. This is a beauty! Uplifting, subtle and composed. This is something you'd wanna wear if you wanna get work done. It would make for a great friend during a busy work week and the worst thing is, this buy actually discouraged me from even trying other Lalique products, because unlike Equus, L'Homme and L'Insoumis, PH actually had very good performance charts. but this is just ridiculous. in general, I find the term "office safe" pointless because, hello, the scent = something that can be smelled. if you don't want anyone to notice you, don't buy fragrances, buy that invisibility cloak from Harry Potter. I mean, I'm already clean and fresh from taking a bath so anything I put later is a bonus. when I'm applying perfume on myself, that's because I want that "bonus". with PH on myself, it's like I never did anything after showering.

I don't find Lalique to be that similar to Creed Bois du Portugal at all. Bois du Portugal smells regal and luxurious, while Lalique smells like a daily, mundane, everyday scent. Bois du Portugal contains way less citrus and vanilla, while Lalique contains way more citrus and vanilla.

Ovo je fini miris za ured, ali i nekako za šetnju u prirodi po sunčanom danu pri umjerenoj temperaturi. The spray itself might be the only weak point as it rotates a bit when you press it, so you can sometimes miss the target. I really hoped that this one would be more powerful and project some...but this doesn't project AT ALL. The pinnacle in the work of the Lalique house. The success that they could no longer surpass, not even come close. I love the whiffs I get during the day when I move my body around. I like to go a bit heavy on the trigger, this needs a good 6-9 sprays for best effect.The EDP projects for 2-3 hours, and doesn't really become a skin scent until it's been on for 7 hours or so. It has legs, but don't get this with the hopes of a beast mode fragrance. The opening is really about that old school citrus, as it dries down, it gets even better - more aromatic and well-rounded. I bought this for my fella, not knowing what the scent itself is like - purely because the bottle is sooo beautiful.. He never really cared to even open it, until I did it myself.. The amber, patchouli and oakmoss are very pronounced, forming a sort of sweet, warm, slightly pissy undertone (good though). So, from a first sniff, this smelled like a premium soap bar in a high-end classic hotel. Then I started noticing the fougere aspects—lavender and rosemary. I like fougeres, but don’t love them, so initially, this was a like not a love.

The drydown is so pleasant. Sweet but woody, you can really smell the vanilla (not in a gourmand way) and the sandalwood. It has a darker side to it, not a playful, sexy sweet bomb overloaded with ambroxan like modern blue frags; it's more mature and refined, understated but quite authoritative. my main doubts about this fragrance were all those comments about it smelling mature (50+), old, skanky... in the end, however, the dealbreaker was the performance. it's a brand new bottle, I bought it on Notino, it's EDP, but I literally can't smell anything after 2 hours and even in those 2 hours it's the faintest scent you can imagine. now I'm not sure whether this was reformulated or it is supposed to be weak, but those performance charts really make me wonder... It's very concentrated and projects immensely. Don't overspray for the life of you. This could easily demand a rollerball application. I just wanna say WOW. This is a remarkable stuff for me. The opening is not too close to BDP but the base is about 80-90%. I've not much to say after that. It's a 4 season manly scent for every occasion. Just go get it if you're over 30!!! Lalique Pour Homme EdP performs very good. Projection is a above average for about two hours and longevity is 8+ hours, after that I can smell it only if I put my nose very close to skin. On opening with my possible overapplication there is a little bit of an alcohol blast, ita goes after 5/10 minutes and the dry down is lovley.
