Their Clikk highchair is designed to be super easy to build, without compromising on quality or appearance. Here we take a look at the Stokke Clikk highchair, our product of the week and let you know our thoughts! What is it? Folded: For all configuration it's 22.7″ wide. For the highchair it's 12.59″ deep, and then the stage 2 and 3 are 13″ deep. Height varies amongst the three stages when folded between 39.7″ to 43.7″ Feet are not grippy to the floor, so it slides too much on smooth surfaces. This is particularly problematic with the tough to slide tray mechanism.

Proper eating posture means better head control for the youngest diners. For more independent eaters, good posture allows them easier access to their plates. Most importantly, proper positioning promotes safer swallowing and decreases the risk of aspiration. To assemble, you’ll start with the seat component. From there, the four wooden legs snap into the corresponding holes on the bottom of the seat. Then, you just need to attach the tray and footplate. Like the Tripp Trapp, it’s a chair intended to grow with your child. Like the Clikk, that growing ends somewhere in the toddler years. The Stokke Clikk high chair is intended for ages 6 months to 3 years. As with most high chairs, infants should be able to sit on their own before using the Clikk high chair. Both the Clikk and The Chair are sleek, easy-to-clean, and promote good ergonomics with adjustable footrests. Similarities aside, the Clikk still comes out ahead. This is mostly due to the limitations of The Chair past mealtime. To “shrink” The Chair to a play chair, you have to buy additional chair legs. Furthermore, a single play chair isn’t very useful without a companion or two. FAQs About the Clikk High Chair What age range is the Clikk high chair appropriate for?

If you aren’t interested in dedicating a third of your day to cleaning a high chair, I’d recommend going with the Clikk. It was specifically designed without the nooks and crannies found in traditional high chairs. It’s in those nooks and crannies that baby food gets lost forever. Red Dot is an international design competition judged by an expert jury. For the 2022 competition, the Clikk high chair was deemed the winner of the Product Design award for 2022. Limited height adjustments – While the height of the chair in Stage 2 and foot rest is adjustable, it only fits 3 pre-determined slots. So there may be “awkward” fits at points. A small tray may be a deal-breaker for you though. Keep the tray size in mind before deciding on the Clikk high chair. Price There is another option that Stokke has come out with called the Stokke Steps Chair if you are interested in a chair rather than a booster seat for a toddler or older child. This seat supports up to 187 lbs making it work far beyond toddler years for your child. You also can add accessories to this chair to make it a baby bouncer for an infant or a high chair for an older child. What accessories are available for the Clikk high chair?However, that 3-year limit may be a little optimistic. The maximum weight limit of this chair is 33 pounds. While the average 3-year-old weighs 31 pounds, that does mean some 3-year-olds are weighing in at higher weights. While this is certainly an annoying feature, it doesn’t cool my feelings for the Clikk. Honestly, I have never encountered a high chair that didn’t utterly frustrate me when it came time to remove the tray! While the Clikk doesn’t break the mold here, it certainly isn’t a reason to pass it up. Tray is Small Use limits: High chair can be used when child sits upright independently (usually around 6 months) and until the child is 33lbs. Stage 2 (the chair) is for when the child can independently get in and out (typically around 3 years old) up to 220 lbs. Stage 3 (toddler tower) is recommended for 2 to 7 years old and has a weight limit of 100 lbs. Both Stokke high chairs reflect minimalist styles and offer ergonomic positioning. Also, both chairs give children a “place at the table” at table height, which promotes family bonding.

This essentially gives the option to skip the plates and just put the food on the tray then bring it over and fit it on top of the attached tray. Personally, we really like this option from an easy of cleaning perspective. Large footprint – while you can fold this up when not in use, it may be too large for some small spaces when in use Overall I like this high chair because of the great aesthetic looks, but I’m disappointed in the harness design and tray mechanism. Height: Varies by arrangement. The big thing to know is th kitchen helper lifts the child up 15.5″ and it's full height is 36.3″. The second stage total height is about 34″ and the seat height can be adjusted between 23.5″ to 20″. Stokke also sells a line of mealtime accessories under the name Stokke Munch. The product line includes silicone bibs and bowls and a weighted bottom sippy cup. Wrap UpTo keep the high chair’s footprint small, the Clikk does have a smaller-than-average tray. Most other high chairs have huge bulky trays with more surface area for mealtime. Even so, the Clikk’s tray still has adequate space for a plate or bowl and a sippy cup. Again, I’m not willing to take the Clikk down a peg for this. When my son was in a high chair, he only utilized the small area of the tray in front of him. If he did venture to the sides of the tray, it was only to make a mess with his food. Likewise, the high chair’s tray is a breeze to keep clean as well. Small messes simply wipe clean. After a particularly messy meal, though, the tray can be placed in the dishwasher. It’s dishwasher safe? Oh yes! The design of the meal tray itself is incredibly intuitive: free of any unnecessary creases or crevices, the Stokke Clikk High Chair meal tray is dishwasher safe and easy to keep clean between meals. The distinct design of the meal tray complements the stylish (yet still ergonomic!) lines of the Clikk’s seating, which features an adjustable footrest.
