Using the appropriate amount of detergent is essential for removing fake tan stains. Pretreat the stain by applying a stain remover directly to the affected area and let it sit for a few minutes before washing. Add a scoop of oxygen-based bleach to the detergent to assist in lifting the stain. Rinse with Cold Water : Rinse the stained area with cold water. Avoid using hot water, as this can set the stain further into the fabric. Once you are satisfied with the results, choose between air drying or tumble drying your bedding. For air drying, hang the bedding outside or in a well-ventilated area, preferably under direct sunlight. This method helps remove any lingering odours and lets the fabric breathe, ensuring a fresh scent for your bedding. Pre-treat the Stain : As soon as you notice the stain, apply a pre-treating solution or laundry detergent directly on the area. Gently rub and let it sit for a few minutes.
