Disclosure: I was sent this Gro Snug for the purpose of this review but all thoughts and opinions are my own. The Grosnug has a large zip that runs from top to bottom and it really was a case of popping her in and zipping her up.

This is one product that I have no hesitation in recommending time and time again now, as it worked for me and my child and gave me the peace of mind every Mama needs with a newborn. One of the reasons I love a sleeping bag is that I think it’s a really good signal to baby from an early age that it is bedtime. I bought a love to dream swaddle thinking this might help as it's less restrictive than the grosnug, but had a terrible night in it. All came with the 0-6 month label but with small detail that the baby needed to be 12 lbs minimum (which really no newborns come close to for a good month or so). With the Gro Snug there is also the option to make the arm holes tighter with additional poppers, a feature we used for the first couple of weeks to ensure that it was a snug fit on our little boy. I always struggled to swaddle my babies despite the fact that they all loved it so something like this would have been a god send! I'm wondering about trying her sleeping on her side too but obviously that goes against safe sleeping advice.

The lovely people at The Gro Company saw the post and asked if we would like to review one when our new little man came along. I am hesitating between the two as expecting a baby in January but our bedroom is not very cold (around 20-22 celsius).
