Super versatile: this is unisex and can be worn in all seasons for just about all occasions. It’s very easy to wear, and office safe, because it’s subtle and doesn’t shout out for attention. The spotlight is entirely on the vanilla here. Similar to its namesake sweet, the fragrance is enhanced with notes of fresh citrus and warm cocoa. You'll also get rum and patchouli for a bit of spice, just to mix it up. While these note pairings may be a study in contrasts, somehow, it all works in a very delicious way. The only catch: It’s pretty intense, so you have to really, really love vanilla to make it worthwhile. Because apparently they use a Tahitian variant of vanilla, which has been grown on a small family farm in Maui, Hawaii. Furthermore, it’s been aged for 3 years before going into the fragrance. Note: this is considerably more expensive than Bourbon vanilla. Intimate This doesn’t smell like a teenager sugary sweet mass-marketed perfume – it’s complex, masterfully blended – and screams high quality. The vanilla notes become creamier after the dry down and remain prominent throughout the life of the fragrance. The vanilla isn’t so strong that this perfume becomes a vanilla bomb, it’s simply a dominant scent note.
