First off for this Oathmark Review, I want to say that this book was an enjoyable read. It is a great book with high production values. I really like the combat rules and love that the game comes with campaign rules. There is not much “fluff” to the system, but I was never a fan of game “fluff” anyhow. I just want to roll dice and play games. How many miniatures come in a box? 30. Doing the math, that gets you six of the above sprues. Built Skeletons

Since I am having fun with this post, I want to share some more images of the Wargames Atlantic Skeleton Warriors. Here you can see how the miniatures look individually. This guy I used for the title image turned out great! A Skeleton Archer. I love the way these skeleton warriors turned out. They look great with the large shields. This is going to be part of the new 28mm plastic kit which will support the Oathbreakers expansion. In that book ( which we looked at earlier in the week) you'll find options to introduce the undead into your Oathmark campaigns and these miniatures can make up the bulk of that force. Human heavy cavalry: will be included in the Human Cavalry box (although I dont see any heavy cavalry on the possible box art), or will it became a separate set? If a separate set, will it be the same size as the former ones, or its time for smaller boxes (because 15 Human Heavy Cavalry is a really huge and expensive force)? Or maybe some metal/resin casts with separate horses and riders, maybe separate hands+weapons to combine?

I don’t have a picture of the champion to share here, but he is in the video below. All of the miniatures here, I built using just the contents of this boxed set. With the comparatively long list of undead boxes in the beginning, we of course have to show you these skeletons next to some other undead miniatures. From left to the right, the classic Warhammer Skeletons, Mantic Games' Skeleton, Oathmark Skeletons, the skeletons build from the Frostgrave cultists kit and the Mantic Ghouls.

First, all races get to field chariots! As long as you have the right territory, that is. So chariot lovers that dislike playing undead will be happy with this book for this reason alone. Here it is, you get 8 plastic frames of skeleton miniatures. Aside from the integrated bases on 3/4s of the miniatures, there are no bases to speak of here. Like Battlesworn this book is a nice and well-made addition to the game. When you view your Kingdom as an Army generator and don't care for chariots you could certainly skip this one and still have fun playing Oathmark for the foreseeable future.

There is some math to determine to “hit target” numbers and the points for your army, but nothing that would be a deal breaker for me. Battlesworn, as the title suggests, has elite units as its central theme. The book offers rules to enhance units that perform exceptionally well in battle with Battle Honours. While giving an RPG-like taste by individualizing units like this, Battle Honours can actually be used (sparsely) on the battlefield itself by re-rolling dice. The book offers rule suggestions for gaining Battle Honours which can also be lost and regained. These elite units are tough and might even overcome destruction or Breaking.Northstar's Frostgrave Crewmen and Wizards I kits include some heads wearing turbans and some miscellaneous weaponry and spell-casting gear that might come in handy for your project as well. Rolling for these events may sound a bit clinical but they actually offer great opportunities for an ongoing narrative. Multiply that out by 8, and you get the following in each box of Wargames Atlantic Skeleton Warriors.
