Since its release in September 1991, the inaugural Mercury Prize winning record has influenced countless bands and artists, been widely acclaimed by critics as one of the defining records of the 1990's and as one of the most inventive albums of its generation - the album had a huge effect on 90s popular culture, bringing acid house and rock 'n' roll to a unified mainstream audience that had until that point been disparate and underground. We do this with social media, marketing, and analytics partners (who may have their own information they’ve collected). Primal Scream have unveiled a series of releases in celebration of the 30th anniversary of their iconic Screamadelica album, via Sony this September. Comprised of various labels we know and love at Rough Trade (Bella Union, ATO, Speedy Wunderground, Phantasy, Heavenly, Mute and more) PIAS [Recordings] filter through some of the most diverse artistry to our racks, which we greatly enjoy digging into. The LP drops his vocals, reshapes the track around the gospel backing singers, and it becomes something titanic.

This includes Demodelica, a 16-track album of demos (available on CD and 2LP vinyl) that offers a new insight into the album’s creation, with a variety of early demos and work-in-progress mixes. Sony Music Entertainment UK are proud to mark the 30th anniversary of Primal Scream’s ‘Screamadelica’ by releasing ‘The Screamadelica 12” Singles’ box, and the ‘Screamadelica’ picture disc 2LP on 17th September 2021. One reason the LP remains a classic is that its answer to this is so bold and open-ended – ‘Primal Scream’ here is anything from a rock group having the time of their lives on "Movin’ On Up", to a vaporous but definite presence on "Higher Than The Sun (A Dub Symphony In Two Parts)". It encompasses a record label, pressing plant and online magazine, and collaborates with artists and musicians to create stunning audio-visual shows.This is probably one of the best vinyl versions of the album , but in my case (i don’t think this is bad at all) the version of “don’t fight feel it” in my copy is a bit faster than the original song.

The live disc finds a ramshackle group admirably committed to showing their audience a great time, twisting Screamadelica’s grooves into more band-friendly shapes in the process.
