Inside of a much larger bag, and shipped outside of the chassis, there is the user manual for the Node 304 along with a red insert.

The lower right-hand side of this bezel houses the power button as well as the I/O ports, which consist of two USB 3. While these two cases do share a few features, the chassis layout is completely different between the 604 and the Mini-ITX compatible Node 304. We've certainly taken an interest in the small form factor side of things recently here, and for good reason. This one's a fairly standard looking cube-style mini-ITX case, the likes of which we've seen plenty of in the past from Lian Li, SilverStone and a host of budget/re-branded models besides. This panel also offers an exploded look at the chassis with all of the components visible in the rendering.While the fans can be moved upwards to increase RAM clearance, this will increase the total height of the cooler and thus requires additional clearance inside the chassis. The steps vary for each browser, so here is a guide for four major browsers – Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge. The front two come with filters and there is a filter for the PSU as well, and they're all removable. With the switch set to "L" for low, there isn't any noise you can hear outside of a foot away from the chassis, and the feel of the flow to the hand is very low.

This incarnation optionally features our solid, sturdy and quiet Anode SFX PSU with UltraFlex cables to make your build experience even smoother.Since there is no optical bay in the bezel, Fractal Design went with the completely clean look, and all ventilation for the chassis is on the top and bottom of the bezel, both sides of the chassis, and of course the rear of the chassis offers exhaust ventilation. With a few years of abusing computer parts, he decided to take his chances and try to get a review job. Something else to notice is that the top support bar is screwed into place and can be removed to help fit things inside. I could go this adapter route and then use the manual controller on the case or I could swap out the fans on the case for Nocutua's and have them controlled by the motherboard.

With most of the chassis designs being a regular tower configuration, most of what I have seen has been almost a direct evolution from one design to the next. It's compact enough to fit inside a TV stand but has more than enough internal space for a capable media PC. DNS caching helps load web pages faster when you visit them again, lessening the DNS server’s burden when traffic is high. What is really nice is that even when set to the "H" position, the high speed of the Silent Series R2 fans even within a foot of the chassis there is a minimal hum heard near the chassis.Interestingly, when throwing a PC together inside the Node 804, careful planning of cable management needs to occur to avoid creating a hot mess.

Then there's the SilverStone Technology SUGO 14, which like the Core V21 doesn't support as many drives for high-capacity server use, but is a slightly more compact chassis, allowing one to set up their own home NAS in more restrictive positions. I do think they could've gone with an SFX power supply instead, though, and even though it would've been more involved, splitting the shroud into two or even three panels might make assembly and service much easier. I found I had to run the system fans at too high a speed (too noisy) to cope with worst case heat generation. The Node 304 has all the build quality and attention to detail that we've come to expect from Fractal, to get the best out of it though, you need to pay attention to those limits on PSU and graphic card length.It may hold potent hardware, so you are able to build a gaming rig the size of two large office binders. Before installing anything you need to remove the three drive brackets, all of which are secured by two thumbscrews and a single small Phillips head screw. The two side panels are secured to the Node 804 using screws, and once those are extracted, you have unobstructed access to pretty much everywhere inside the case. And almost all of those times I could have gotten away with using an alternative method (bootable USB, backed up ISOs, etc.
