From testing the pedal with guitar and bass I found that it did not in any way effect my EQ settings.

The Carbon Copy will take you from crisp “bathroom” slap echoes to epic, Gilmour-esque delays with a twist of a knob.The Carbon Copy also features glow in the dark controls, such a simple idea yet so useful on dark stages. The controls all feel quality, they’ve got a bit of give to them and I doubt they’ll be deteriorating in a hurry. For new Carbon Copy users, it's best to adjust these up a bit when first using the modulation as the factory presets can be too subtle. We're celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Carbon Copy Analog Delay with this special edition featuring a lightweight aluminum housing with a metallic silver finish. If you are looking for a dark, vintage-sounding analog delay, you cannot go wrong with the MXR Carbon Copy.

The Bright switch toggles between the original Carbon Copy pedal’s dark, mellow wash and the Bright version’s vibrant articulation. It is not the most versatile delay pedal out there, but It is sure to add some beautiful ambience to your playing and thicken up your guitar solos. In the top left corner the MOD switch adds a small amount of modulation (a slight up and down pitch shift) to the delayed signal. This design boasts an amazing 600ms of delay time with optional modulation via a top-mounted switch and a simple, three-knob layout that controls Delay time, Mix (dry/wet blend), and Regen (delay repeats) - all in a pedal no bigger than a Phase 90.

To add further character and texture to your repeats, just hit the Mod switch and use the Speed and Width controls to shape the chorusing to your taste.When the pedal is on it gives a subtle presence to your overall sound, this helps to retain clarity but it does not effect the comforting sound of those decaying repeats. I was amazed by how naturally this pedals sits in the mix with a full band and also how it plays well with other pedals.
