By the time the Bronze Age ended (around 1979), a lot of the old clutter was back in place and as the 80s dawned it came racing back in full force. That’s the overriding sense of this story to me: Batman’s dark mirror and the implication that inversions of him are almost leaping fully formed, from nowhere, into Gotham.

This time he somehow has smuggled a pack of cards that is oops, all jokers covered in poison into Martin’s house. The Batman of Earth-Two is an alternate version of the superhero Batman, who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. When the television show was a success, I was asked to be campy, and of course when the show faded, so did the comic books. He worked on many other DC characters and titles, scripted some of the 1940s daily and Sunday Batman and Robin newspaper strip continuities, and wrote for Quality, Fawcett and Timely.His attempt at regeneration resulted in a dramatic change: Alfred awoke from his apparent death with pasty white skin with circular markings, superhuman powers, including telekinesis, and a desire to destroy Batman and Robin.
