As members of the Ethical Tea Partnership, we have been and will continue to work hard to create a fairer, more sustainable tea industry for tea workers, farmers and their families, as well as the environment. Our Trafford Park factory uses 100% renewable energy and is carbon neutral. And naturally, this box has no plastic wrap on the outside and plant-based bags on the inside! The bags kept breaking so I bought some other tea bags (Lidl gold, Lidl red, assam) to try. We did a blind taste test and both described PG as tasteless and watery. Lidl Red came out best so that’s what we are buying now! PG used to be brilliant so I’ve no idea what they’ve done to their tea… But today I had to buy some more as I had run out. What did I find……now 210 instead of 240 bags, no longer pyramid and a very definite change in flavour! (Oh and an increase in price). So to me they are now a completely different teabag 😡. Thanks PG Tips, I now have to find a replacement 😡. Why did you need to change a winning formula? I hope that reduced revenue will show you what a huge mistake you have made!!! I love PG tips looseleaf tea not the teabags teabags taste, terrible but looseleaf tea is the best in a pot steeped for four minutes. It’s worth the time and the effort for a perfect cup of tea. The aroma the taste the smell it’s all there but not in the teabags, forget the teabags, always go to looseleaf tea.

We only enjoy PG Tips but find that not every pot tastes good. I’ve been a Pg tea drinker since I was a little girl and I’ve noticed over the last couple of months that the taste has changed it isn’t as strong as it used to be so I have changed my tea to Twinings Strong English Breakfast and the taste is just perfect I today bought the new biodegradable PG tips pyramid bags and the bags did not make any of the explained problems here. I am not sure how hard others stir their bag in the mug, but I can tell for myself I only drink it very strong. So keep up the good and sustainable work ! The tea bags keep opening and are proving completely disfunctional as a tea bag. My complaint to their relevant department was refused because I live in Spain! Is this fraud? Selling a faulty product and not taking responsibility ? Terrible tasting tea. It tastes awful. How it ever came to be Britain's no. 1 i will never know!! Thompson's tea and particularly their "Punjana" tea bags taste far, far better. I am 65 years old and was brought up on PG Tips. I use a teapot, 3 tea bags was a perfect blend. Now I am putting hand fulls of tea bags in, just to get a bit of flavour. So when these run out I will definatley be changing brand.

The new plastic free bags leave an awful lot to be desired. They are so fragile, more than 50% of the time I end up with loose leaves floating in my cup which is very unpleasant. When it comes to the perfect cuppa, taste is everything. That's why this delicious blend is expertly crafted using tea leaves grown on our tea gardens in Kenya. And that's not all. We pour a lot of love and care in too, to bring you a perfectly smooth, fresh and rounded taste that always hits the spot. PG Tips teabags are absolutely terrible now, there is always some translucent bits / flakes left in the cup nowadays!!! It's awfully worrying, we just can't work out what they are, we always leave some tea in the bottom of the mug to avoid encountering the bits / flakes. We will be changing to a different brand of teabags as soon as we can use up the remaining boxes of this brand. Shame, we have used them for decades. So whether it's milky, sugary, or a full-bodied builder's with a biccy on the side, one thing's for sure: however you like your tea, it's the taste that really matters. Our taste.
