I would have thought that would have fallen under Entertainment, but perhaps they consider the Internet to be Science. The year 1992 was meaningful for many people, and the game commemorated all the important events of that year. Released in 2003 as Volume VI, (or Trivial Pursuit 6) this edition appears to be somewhere in the middle of the road in terms of difficulty. Test your knowledge in the following categories: Monster; Gore/Disturbing; Psychological; Paranormal; Slasher; and International. The cool thing about Trivial Pursuit is that it has become a party game, with lots of house rules and rule variations that different groups of players use to make the game more interesting.
Trivial Pursuit came out with a whole new video game with brand new questions and categories for everyone. Croquet is a game traditionally played by people in their backyard that requires a player to hit a ball with a mallet through a course.
Unlike the Walt Disney Family Edition Card Set, this edition did not have separate questions for adults and kids.
Trivial Pursuit is a game for all audiences and all settings and it deserves to be in the collection of any board game fan or lover of trivia. The plastic container the game came in could be split into 2 parts to accommodate 2 players or teams. The problem with this edition is that though most Americans will know or be able to accurately guess answers to questions about Europe and North America, the other regions are more foreign. Many players reported that the game was more difficult than other editions but still very fun to play! In 2011, Migros, a large Swiss retailer, teamed up with WWF to release this version of the classic Trivial Pursuit game.
While those other editions of Trivial Pursuit are fun for sure, one of the best and most reliable versions of the game is definitely just the classic edition. This edition was meant to be played on its own, but players could also mix the cards in with their master game sets.There were 500 questions about stars from the following spheres: TV; Movies; Way of Life; Advertising; Songs; and Jet Set. The game is quite rare and not much is known about it, though you can still purchase a used one online. But it isn't quite the hard-hitting, full of facts that stand the test of time game that I had expected it to be. Sometimes, changing the rules is necessary when you want to play a shorter game or when you have younger players who may not be able to keep up with the adults. This travel-sized edition of Trivial Pursuit comes with over 400 questions about Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
With questions about famous bands and singers, music, and history, the game appealed to all fans of the music genre. This variant combines standard Trivial Pursuit gaming with other bluffing games like Balderdash, where players try to convince other players that they know the answer to a Trivial Pursuit question. The hook is that there are two sets of question cards—something unique to this edition of the game—with blue cards that are designed for adults, and yellow cards created with kids in mind. These same categories can also be found in Trivial Pursuit Master Edition, the successor of the original Trivial Pursuit Genus.In this version of the game, other players could attempt to answer questions that their opponents couldn’t. The updated format asked for more strategy and gave players a chance to win even if they weren’t sure of the answer. This edition of Trivial Pursuit came in the form of a VHS tape with important sporting moments in history.
