The 10th story is called Satisfaction, by Kristin Baver. The namesake of the Max Reebo Band is Max Reebo himself. But its' lead singer is an alien named Sy Snootles. In the movie, she sings a song in Jabba's Palace. This song varies depending on which version of the movie you watch. She had one song in the movie's original 1983 release. But it was changed for the 1997 re-release. And it's this 2nd song that appears in subsequent home and streaming releases, as well as TV airings. I won't tell you which song I prefer. And everyone else is entitled to their own opinions on the matter. But I think Sy Snootles herself is a pretty interesting character. It's written diary form, and is about the labor struggles among the Stormtroopers stationed on the 2nd Death Star. Dude Looks Like a Lady: The lead characters of "The Kloo Horn Cantina Caper" (none of whom are human) mistake Luke Skywalker for a teenage girl when he walks into Chalmun's Cantina. I love the title. And while getting the sarlacc’s POV is interesting (like that it is one of the few of its species that doesn’t like me), a few things rubbed me wrong, didn’t feel right. Tatooine was a jungle? Flaming Sword: Lightsabers according to Jot the Jawa. He goes through R2's memory banks and sees these "swords made of fire" and magic people in robes using these swords. Oddly enough, I didn’t mind this story about Salacious Crumb and how he came to be with Jabba. I like that he still has to make Jabba laugh once a day to stay alive. I laughed at the end.

The 28th story is called Then Fall, Sidious, by Olivie Blake. It's told from the POV of Darth Sidious, AKA Emperor Palpatine, covering the time from when Vader brings Luke to him, until his death. What You Are in the Dark: "Contingency Plan" shows what Mon Mothma was planning to do should the Rebels be defeated at Yavin: She would go to Coruscant and surrender to the Emperor on behalf of the Rebellion, while leaving a huge cache of valuable information on the Rebellion's resources to some young rebels so they could start a new Rebellion in its place. With news of the Rebel victory, she would never need to follow through on this plan nor reveal it to anyone else. the veteran: 4.5/5. dex i love you. high republic AND padawan novel mentions gay people stay winning. This is another great entry in the From A Certain Point of View series. The stories mostly ranged from very good to fantastic, with only one or two clunkers. Damning With Faint Praise: In "Not For Nothing", the Modal Nodes use "Better than Jabba's Palace" to describe any given place as being absolutely terrible. Naturally, this is how they describe the cantina at Mos Eisley.Chief Kase recalls how Wedge was a former Imperial TIE pilot and that General Syndulla had to vouch for him when this information was met with suspicion. Female Monster Surprise: The dianoga is revealed to be female, unlike in Legends where it wasn't even clear if the dianogas had genders. However, it's also revealed they're hermaphrodites, and can identify as female, male or neuter depending on preference. She's therefore female in the sense of gender identity, not physical sex.
