Caught Up was the perfect book for me. It had so many things I love in it. Single parent and nanny, the cutest kid ever, sports romance, baking (one of my favorite hobbies after reading), and all the emotions I love and crave in romance. Liz Tomforde has not just one (The Right Move is my #1 favorite book of 2023) but two books in my top favorites of 2023 because this one will be high up on the list! Mile High is my first book by Liz Tomforde and I loved it so much! Zanders and Stevie were so much fun together- their banter was top notch and their chemistry was out of this world. i’m not gonna give this book a five star despite all my rambling about how much i loved it, and the answer is pretty simple; I don’t think it deserves a five star i’m trying to be a little more critical, and not give five stars out like candy on halloween. i can’t give you an exact reason to why this wasn’t a five star for me, other than i don’t feel like it deserves a five star. it was very predictable, and the writing was very normal and not anything special. i’d say read this book if you liked the first two in the series, if not then don’t <3

This book has always been one of my favorite sports romances ever. I’m still as in love with Stevie and Zanders as I was when I read this book. I love how they comfort each other and always appreciate each other. Especially Zanders, he’s so amazing with Stevie and her insecurities, and trust issues. If you’re in the mood for a sports romance, I can only recommend you this book, it’s such an amazing, sweet and cute read.

However I started it yesterday and am already 50% though and am LOVING it! I used to be a flight attendant and also have a brother who is a pro-athlete, as does the FMC, so maybe it's because I relate to her story so much but wow these characters are just incredible!

first of all, can we just appreciate his full name “malakai” for a minute ughh, it’s so hot istg. this man is the definition of a good man, and a good dad. he was funny, reliable, respectful, responsible, etc. total dilf material, just saying. he was always so scared and nervous about not being a good enough father for his son (he was literally perfect). and the way this man treated miller was literally perfect, even tho he fell completely in love with miller, he never begged her to stay, he wanted to tho but he never did, because he didn’t want her to give up her dream job, because of him. and for not to talk about this man’s communication skills, omfg it’s so hot when a man can communicate very hard to find in real life btw. he literally helped miller take off her make-up because she was drunk, he literally ASKED if he could help take off her make-up blushing and giggling omfg. i could write a book about how perfect this man is, but i won’t so i’ll stop my rambling now. But that wasn’t the case here. And whilst this had a strong beginning, it started to go downhill for me in the second half. The flaws became far too glaring.

Omg I knew I was right to trust Steph Bohrer’s recommendations!! She never misses. I’m so glad I ended up loving this book because I had high hopes for it. This was such a fun, easy and heartwarming read. At the beginning it was difficult to get invested in the story but it didn’t take long for me to become obsessed with this book

the sports aspect (I’m a fan of most sports romances) unfortunately, lately I’ve found them to be very predictable, meaning the heroines have mostly the same job titles, the tropes I’m okay with but the execution of those are just the same scenarios recycled over and over and I really want something different. Good thing about this book, while it wasn’t some completely innovative plot it was different enough for me to enjoy it. I LOVE THIS BOOK WITH ALL OF MY HEART. I was so emotional when finishing because I just didn’t want it to end.

Coming to the characters- Stevie and Zanders. They were meh, quite forgettable tbh. As individuals they do not shine, especially Stevie. Tho I did appreciate the author bringing out her insecurities, vulnerability, there was not much else to her. She was the love interest to Zanders. Zanders gave the typical "I'm not like other guys" vibes on and off throughout the book. It's his personality conflict that makes him a very inconsistent character. He does have his sweet moments tho, which I liked. I wish we had more insight with regards to the mental health organisation he ran with his friend, Maddison. I never ​imagined I'd be living with my best friend's brother, NBA superstar Ryan Shay. Even more unbelievable? He needs me to act as his loving girlfriend who's suddenly changed him into a friendly and approachable guy. The guy could be out partying every night, getting away with any and every thing, but instead, he’s at home taking care of his son as a single dad. here is his 🏅🎖️🎗️🥇🏆🏆 the bar for men 🥺it’s giving “i babysit my kids”
