This exhibition showcases the iconic work of Stanley Kubrick through original designs, models and props. He shot a local circus in 1948, which depicts acrobats on a tightwire before the businessman who ran the show.In 1980, Kubrick adapted a Stephen King novel into The Shining, starring Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall. Having flirted with an adaptation of Arthur Schnitzler’s 1926 novella, Traumnovelle, which became Eyes Wide Shut three decades later, he went on to make A Clockwork Orange. But the Design Museum’s display represents just “a small fraction”, explains Groen, of Kubrick’s Napoleon collection.

In the circumstances, it is almost incredible that it was released only three years after 2001: A Space Odyssey. I purchased whilst on sale, and it appears it’ll remain a discounted product so it’s definitely worth it. In the future, a sadistic gang leader is imprisoned and volunteers for a conduct-aversion experiment, but it doesn't go as planned.
