Does it have reflective qualities? This will obviously be hugely beneficial if you cycle through the dark, say on your daily commutes during the winter months. Each BikeParka has the highest UV protection to keep the colour bright but you can extend its life by keeping it in the shade whenever possible. To clean your BikeParka, treat it the same as a good quality tent - sponge clean with warm water and a natural soap/ mild detergent, and don’t machine wash. It’s made from tough fabric so shouldn’t rip, but accidents can happen and if needed your BikeParka can easily be fixed with a tent repair kit. Is it rip-proof? You want a sturdy, durable bike cover, not one which will tear with even the slightest bit of pressure applied. The material has been made with the highest possible UV protection, but for best performance and long life, avoid direct sunlight, especially in summer. It is recommended that you rotate your BikeParka regularly to maximise its life. Clean your BikeParka as you would a good quality tent - cleaning with a sponge, warm water and natural soap / mild detergent. No machine washing / tumble drying. This sounds just what I need for my Specialized Sequoia adventure bike!! Its just the addition I need.

Does it have grab handles? These can help when both adding and removing the cover, and also just for knowing the right way to position the cover if it otherwise seems unclear.

The roof has been taken off the bike shelter at work so this could never have been more useful! Mine is a road bike with panniers. If its raining really hard while out and about maybe stop and put over bike and rider and wait for a gap in the rain 🙂Both feature high quality Oxford fabric with double stitching for enhanced durability. The seams are heat-sealed to ensure that no moisture can seep through. As such, this cover protects against winter conditions like rain, snow and ice, but will also keep your bike safe in summer when UV rays and dust are a problem. This very much depends on your use case. If you only need to store the bikes outside at home, and don't need to bring a cover with you out and about then a large, sturdy option like the Storm Skin will likely be the best bet. I can’t carry my electric bike up front steps, so sometimes street is the only option , I and my bike desperately need the TLC of the Bike Parka Looks great and great coverage of the whole bike. Most covers say they are waterproof but are not great so this will be handy.

Could be useful on a cycling tour to keep the bike dry. I’ve not taken a cover on past tours and sometimes it rains, naturally. Is it worth the extra bulk to carry?I have a Cyclemax electric bike which I love – and for that reason would very much appreciate the Bike Parka. The big advantage of the Pro Bike is its size! Which type of bike cover is best? This would be fantastic for my daughter who lives on an exposed hillside with nowhere to store her bike. Hope she can strap it to someting solid!

Not everyone uses a bike cover, nor needs one, but for those who do, there's a new kid in town, and he means business. My precious road bike is currently garaged but with a leaky roof. The Bike Parka would come in handy. It would be ideal to cover my trusty Paul Hewitt touring cycle. It deserves a good winter coat after all the miles it has carried me. Ooooo… my almost brand new Oxford Bike Works tourer. The time has come to leave it’s very own room indoors, definitely a rite of passage!
