The next book of the Bible to feature the colour blue is Esther. Chapter one, which focuses on the deposition of Queen Vashti, also describes the citadel of Susa. Verse 6 tells us“The garden had hangings of white and bluelinen, fastened with cords of white linen and purple material to silver rings on marble pillars.
