The book is an easy to read self help book that introduces us to a variety of tools we can incorporate into our lives such as spirituality, faith, reiki, shamanism, mediumship, manifesting, and Enneagram numbers among other. It was a thought provoking and enjoyable read. This book inspires you to live life being more thankful and focusing on the positives. The book is based around spirituality, but that doesn't take away how incredibly, inspiring fearne cotton really is. I've now read all of her books, I was intrigued when I realised she had another book released so I didn't hesitate to buy it! I approached with this book with some trepidation and scepticism. I like Fearne and often listen to her podcast (Happy Place), but I'm not a spiritual person. However, I needn't have feared. Fearne, with her usual kindness and sensitivity, takes the reader through various ideas, conversations and experiences to try and open up a wider realm to people. But this is no hard sell and Fearne clearly knows that some of the things she talks about might be too "woo woo" for some. Beginning in 2008, Cotton appeared as a team captain on the ITV2 comedy panel show Celebrity Juice alongside host Keith Lemon and fellow team captain Holly Willoughby. Cotton took a short break from the programme in 2013 whilst on maternity leave, and Kelly Brook stood in for her during the ninth series. She quit the series in 2018.

The second part of the book focuses on our connection to the larger world. Cotton discusses the power of nature, the importance of community, and the role of faith. She also offers advice on how to connect with our ancestors and the spirit world. This book has helped me so much and has made a big difference to different aspects of life and the fact I can relate to Fearne so much when she gives snippets of her own thoughts and mind. The book covers interesting topics including meditation, rituals, astrology, the law of attractions and many more. Cotton supports a number of charities including CoppaFeel!, Post Pals, Macmillan Cancer Support, Children in Need and Red Nose Day. [ citation needed]

I try ( like most people!) to absorb anything that might speak to my soul - whether it’s a book or a podcast relating to every day mental health or learnings around personal growth . A few years ago, I would have considered any conversation on such topics to be incredibly indulgent and without substance. Now I can’t get enough of it. I hadn’t heard of many of the people that Fearne interviewed for this book and so it was refreshing to discover new people within the spiritual world. One of the biggest things I have taken away from this is prayer. Growing up in a Church of England school, I always thought prayer belonged to religion and I never really felt any connection with Christianity. Since reading this book I have been praying daily to the higher power and it has been incredibly healing already. Talking out loud and trusting something bigger then us is listening, without judgement has opened my mind. This book covered a great deal, but unfortunately it didn't go into much detail - this left me a little disappointed. Cotton had interviewed some of her favourite practitioners in each field - but these were people she has previously had on her 'Happy Place' podcast, so I felt a bit short changed. I listen to the podcast, and love the podcast but I wasn't expecting half of this book to almost be a transcript of the podcast. Cotton said on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross that she has eleven tattoos over her body, the most notable of which is a fern leaf, covering her right hip up to her rib cage. In addition to TV Fearne is hugely credible in the music genre. In 2005 she joined Radio 1 where she spent 10 incredible years, initially co-hosting morning shows with Reggie Yates and then moving onto the UK Top 40 show before taking over the prestigious weekday morning slot in 2009; here she mixed big celebrity interviews with exclusive acoustic performances in the Live Lounge. The show attracted over 4 million listeners and in 2012 she won a Sony Gold Award for the show.

Her passion for the subjects covered is evident and I loved her enthusiasm and open mindedness.Fearne has been presenting live TV since the age of 15 when she was spotted by ITV’s ‘Disney Club’. Another thing I think is worth mentioning is rituals, now I’m sure many of you are thinking you don’t take part in rituals but I bet your wrong. Have you ever thrown confetti at a wedding? Blown out candles on your birthday? Put a tree up at Christmas? Counted down to New Years? These are all symbolic moments of gratitude and love that we take for granted but that we all do… without questioning why. However they’re all old traditions. What if we put simple easy traditions into our everyday? Like lighting a candle? This book will help you gently analyse yourself and your thoughts through Fearnes words as she analyses her own life and experiences. It was so lovely to read Fearnes thoughts and stories, her journeys to meditation and trying to find time for herself within such busy and turbulent times. I definitely found myself in her words and truly understood and empathised with a lot.
