I got myself the Rheingold software and I'm able to register the battery without any problem. That seems to be the only way to do it with N55s, unless someone else finds another way. As many of you pointed out most of the BMWs can take H6, H7 or H8 the clip in the battery bay is meant for hooking the battery in the right slot. BTW H6,H7 or H8 only differ in length.
