Had 3 of each before I change to Mionix, all 3 MS3 broke down within 3 months and the 5K lasted almost 3 months each.I feel I'm just starting to outgrow it with my pinky hanging over the edge, but the thumb position is perfect, as are the mouse button fingers. This video is what I followed to locate all the screws, you just have to completely remove the PCBs and other internals from the mouse. G Hub not only works for mouses but if you have any other Logitech products like headsets or speakers, it can also tap into those. I've owned both versions and never had a single problem with them being able to keep up with my movements.

Good thing the G703 doesn't have the +/- switches of the MX518, so we can use their space for expansion. Then take them with you anywhere to use on any Windows or Mac computer with no additional software or any login required. Whereas you normally have to bring your mouse pointer to the bottom of the screen to select between active windows, or use Alt + Tab to toggle through them, pressing the task switching button brings up a list of open windows directly under your mouse pointer.

The Logitech has more programmable buttons thanks to its G-Shift button, a wider and more precisely adjustable CPI range, and its sensor is much more consistent. There is a hope that over time of using it, it will become smoother as with original MX 518 scrolls did. Other than that though, it has performed extremely well over time but I will go into more detail about its performance after I talk about its specifications. I've been having a few problems with my MX518 and am trying to get a replacement from Logitech, i left the mouse at my uncle's house off in the country the last time I was there and was just going to get him to give me the details so I could forward them to Logitech. The Logitech logo has mostly faded on the top of my mouse, but I dont mind that at all considering how long ive had it.

It's comfortable to use, although people with small hands may not be able to use it comfortably with any grip type. Its feet glide well on a mousepad and directly on a desk, but sadly the cable isn't very flexible and it retains kinks. I’m sorry if those figures are incorrect, to weigh the mice I used a baking scale that is at least 40 years old since nothing better was available). my mouse (Logitech MX 518, not the original version but the new release - about one year old) stopped working in OpenSuse Leap 15. Additionally, trim the plastic for the top buttons so that only the DPI reset button remains, then glue the plastic in place as shown.The Prodigy feels better built, is better suited for small hands, and has a lower lift-off distance. The Legendary has two side buttons, two buttons above and below the scroll wheel to increase and decrease the CPI, and a default CPI button. In-game sensitivity switching lets you control cursor speed and responsiveness without ever having to stop play.

One issue I did run into a couple of years ago was that the mouse wasn’t keeping up anymore in terms of speed.Have to cut the battery cover to make it fit, plus y'know, weight savings on excess plastic or something. Place all the components into the G518 baseplate, securing them with the McMaster screws into the inserts. Now I didn’t realise just how clumsy the movement on my basic mouse was until I started using the MX518.
