Flitterfuries swarmed over the brute’s face, mandibles and poisoned stingers stabbing home again and again. Howling in agony, the gargant tripped and fell, and the Outcast throng surged forwards and fell upon it with lashing talons. Is that just so once per game 2 units can strike and fade? Is that more valuable with spites than more consistent spell casting? These can either be a life saver or worthless, if you don’t know how caster heavy your opponent is. Probably too niche to really recommend. D

Only one twisted in mind and soul would seek the company of such horrors, yet Drycha Hamadreth has named herself their Regent. It is said that Drycha is a truly ancient spirit who fought in the wars at the end of the world-that-was. Many say she failed Alarielle at that time. Certainly, it was not until the darkest days of the Age of Chaos that the Everqueen relented and planted Drycha’s soulseed, releasing the Branchwraith from her millennial limbo. In truth, Alarielle feared the damage that Drycha’s firebrand madness might do and the horrors she might wreak. The Everqueen worried also that Drycha’s was a necessary darkness, and that by keeping her imprisoned, the mother had somehow weakened her children. [1] [3a] Branchwraith is an unsung hero. While not a huge stand out they are cheap, and can summon in a unit of 10 Dryads, which are not great but they can bog an enemy down for a turn and sometimes that’s what you need. Similar to Dread Harvester, this is a great combo with Harvestboon, who really want that early charge. B

Gobsprakk and Gordrakk follow the trend for Unique heroes to come down in points probably to help reflect that they don’t get to benefit from artefacts/command traits like generic heroes can. I liked Gobsprakk especially at his cost before so a decrease is a very welcome change! Sons of Behemat The Points

As stated before, combined with wyldwood you can relocate much of your force every turn if you’re smart, keep an eye out for openings in your enemy’s line. The Sylvaneth are always ready to defend their homes or march out to war. When they do they are organized into Wargroves, Sylvaneth armies that advance with an unnatural speed that rivals that of cavalry of other armies. Sylvaneth are stealthy to such a degree that an entire wargrove can emerge from a forest, without any hint of their presence coming from their cover. [9f] Like their home realm and their goddess, the sylvaneth go through natural cycles. Some of the darker parts they must pass through, known as the Dreadcycles or simply the Change, are not spoken about with non-sylvaneth. [9h] Reproduction This list was used by William at Quarantine Fanatic II in November 2020 and went 2-1-1. It shows a lot of consistent traits of Winterleaf lists, with Winterleaf being the most popular competitive format. Recently, Kurnoth hunters have taken a bit of a staring role as more elite infantry and being able to reroll all hits with no limitations is pretty nice, especially when greatswords are combined with the command ability.

[9c] Age of Sigmar The newly reborn Alarielle sent a pulse of pure life magic and called forth a great muster of the Sylvaneth with her Spirit-Song, summoning the wargroves of every glade, even the disbanded Sons of Durthu and the disdained Outcasts. She took up the spear of Kurnoth and called a Royal Moot with the Regents of the Glades. The God-King sent his Celestant-Prime and Alarielle made the decision to ally with him. [9d]

While the humans and gargants slaughtered each other, the Queen of Outcasts would make this forest her own. She would turn every branch, root and vine into a weapon against these trespassers. Whoever triumphed in their petty war would know only suffering and death so long as they remained in the Grimbark. There are some Sylvaneth who have turned away from their goddess.
