The Dewaeles are familiar to millions as 2manydjs, a project which undoubtedly moved the needle for modern DJing. Before listening to this album I wouldn't have said I was a fan of this type of music, but after listening to this I've discovered a whole new genre!

This is quite possibly the ultimate party soundtrack with something for everyone and the emphasis firmly on fun.With a sound that reached for garage rock and art-damaged dance punk in equal measure, Soulwax positioned themselves as something of a fulcrum between the warring camps right as the indie kids started to want to dance. It's absolutely of its time, capturing the electroclash zeitgeist and throwing in crowd-pleasing pop nous without diluting the product, and quite simply Pt 2 is one of the best party sets you're ever likely to hear. In the first two decades of the 21st century, few have controlled the cultural weather quite like Stephen and David Dewaele.
