My disc 1 was rather scratched up from the factory and slightly warped, but nothing that seemed to effect playback. Produced in collaboration with iam8bit, the soundtrack is a two-LP set featuring red vinyl and a corgi-colored furry jacket complete with Ein’s dog collar. I think those that are hoping for little surface noise will definitely be pleased, but I do wish there was a bit more punch to the sound overall.

The soundtrack features new compositions recorded for the series by Cowboy Bebop’s pioneering composer Yoko Kanno and her band the SEATBELTS, with twenty-three previously unreleased tracks exclusive to the vinyl. Absolutely noticeable noise on the first disc, especially on the quieter songs like Spokey Dokey/Space Lion. It does have decent bass and highs, its just how its all arranged and used that is a bit disappointment when compared to other great Jazz recordings and pressings. and "Rush" sound at most maybe slightly better than their digital versions, while others like "Space Lion,""The Egg and I," and "What Planet is This?

All the way through as well, so I might see about a replacement and seeing if that makes a difference. It wasn't too bad - and I'm not sure I'd have been annoyed had I not been listening to it quite loud. Composed and performed by Yoko Kanno and the band SEATBELTS, the music of Cowboy Bebop is one of the signature elements of the series. Just finished giving the black pressing a listen, and honestly I found it to be quite flat sounding at times. Anyone who has had the pleasure of seeing Jalen perform live knows that he is one of the most captivating performers on today's soul scene.Along for the ride are the brilliant, but weird, hacker Ed and a super-genius Welsh Corgi named Ein.

The pressing is quite decent for me however with low surface noise and the odd pop here and there mostly. Possibly a lot of this could be explained by them being recorded at different sessions and mastered separately?His full length debut on Daptone Records is equal parts raw feeling and elegance and exudes confidence and charm. Part of that is because there are multiple versions of a lot of Cowboy Bebop songs and some of them are not the versions I am used to (I mostly have listened to a rip of the Cowboy Bebop CD Box Set).
