Before its announcement on 2 May 2017, Radiohead promoted OKNOTOK with posters in cities around the world featuring "cryptic" messages, and a teaser video featuring "glitchy" computer graphics and lyrics from "Climbing Up the Walls". All tracks are written by Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Philip Selway, Ed O'Brien and Colin Greenwood No. The original studio recordings of these three previously unreleased and long sought after OK Computer era tracks finally receive their first official issue on OKnotOK. Rescued from defunct formats, prised from dark cupboards and brought to light after two decades in cold storage.

These new editions are dubbed ‘OKNOTOK’; the box set comes with three 180g black vinyl records containing 23 tracks in total – album, three unreleased tracks and B-sides, all remastered, “from the original analogue master tapes”.The whole album remastered plus the B sides from the singles of the time plus the holy grail for Radiohead fans, three unreleased and long sought after tracks dug out of the vaults. A triple-sleeve Gatefold holding three 180 gram blue 12" vinyl records containing the original twelve track album, three unreleased tracks and eight B-sides, all newly remastered from the original analogue tapes. In 2016, with Radiohead's approval, their back catalogue was transferred to XL Recordings and the "Collector's Editions" were removed from streaming services. This boxed edition contains three black 12 inch vinyl records, featuring 23 tracks - the original studio album, three previously unreleased studio tracks and eight B-sides.

OKNOTOK is dedicated to Rachel Owen, Yorke's ex-wife, who died from cancer months prior to the album release.Music videos were released for the three new songs, and "I Promise" and "Man of War" were released as singles. Digital versions (of the 23-tracks) will be available on the same date, including 24-bit WAV downloads. No CDs in this set, the vinyl comes housed in a hardcover book along with 40 pages of artwork and lyrics. OKNOTOK 1997 2017 comprises remastered versions of OK Computer and its eight B-sides, plus three previously unreleased tracks: " I Promise", featuring strummed acoustic guitar, [11] marching band-like drums, [12] and Mellotron; [13] " Man of War", a ballad with strings, piano, and electric guitar; [14] and " Lift", a Britpop-like ballad. The sound of a band stubbornly refusing to follow up the stadium-strafing stylings of its predecessor The Bends - and instead bursting headlong into experimentation and wild creativity -is portrayed in still more vivid colours by the alarmingly strong collection of out-takes and B-sides collected herein, Yet there's no getting away from the chill and spark that marked out OK Computer from everything surrounding it in the post-Britpop malaise, and continues to do so in the pre-Brexit counterpart. Box contains the 3LP vinyl edition – with album, three unreleased tracks and B-sides, all remastered. Produced by the band and Nigel Godrich, the album features the singles ‘Paranoid Android’, ‘Karma Police’, ‘Lucky’ and ‘No Surprises’ and is widely cited as one of the greatest works of Radiohead’s or any artist’s catalogue.Too bad XL Records didn’t contract with a pressing plant with quality control worthy of Radiohead’s watershed work.
