I used to put 200ml cos its bean oil to 5 litres of fuel thats 25/1 mix ish in my old kxs and crs and its going in the 99 300exc same mix, never any problems but you must keep on top of the pv as they gum up, plus points are it seems to run quieter and smells of the good old days at steetleys.

Aways ran 80-1 on 747 and never a problem with the trials bikes and imo it is the best 2T oil you can use. I think I would like some more information on the Marvels Mystery Oil and as far as the Sea Foam goes, I have only heard good things about it! I do virtually no road riding, I only ride around the fens here and so maybe the hares, deer, foxes and general bird life might enjoy a slightly perfumed world!Castrol POWER1 have been developed with cutting-edge formulation technology, underpinned by more than 100 years' experience in motorcycle lubrication. On four-strokes where people use Castrol R in their crankcases I can see why they wouldn't mix, and this is where the warnings come in; but on the total-loss, burn the whole damn lot in the combustion chamber two-stroke, it seems not to matter. Oh when i find the right product that smell like "R" which am thinking is going to be A747, wud it be OK to put a little bit in my RC8 tank? I had asked the dealer to investigate at the previous service two weeks earlier (Even though I suspected what the cause may be) but you can guess their response - nah mate there's no problem.

I now run it religiously in my rally car and it gives steadier pressure than the Millers CTV I ran before it. I hadn't a speedo, just a rev counter (that didn't work, of course), and JW pulled alongside me near Ripley and pointed at his clock, showing just over a ton, before pulling gently away. No issues that could be related to choice of oil, but when I tried Maxima is wasn't as easy to get hold of as it is now. What he did, was add a cap full of castor oil which he bought from the local chemist to the fuel cell (tank). Castrol R 40 SAE 40 4T Racing Engine Oil is castor oil-based and for motorcycles and classic or racing applications.I used to race a TV 200 with a GP200 engine (home-tuned cast iron barrel) in the cutdown class and the engine ran brilliantly. The reason for that is that castor oil is hydroscopic in nature, if its left in a road bikes engine or fuel tank.

If the best possible performance coupled with reliability is the aim then the remarkable stamina and great film strength of Castrol R40 will provide a valuable margin of safety at ultra high engine speeds and temperatures. Who uses it these days and what with all the amazing modern oil technology around why would anyone use a castor based oil?Ahhh yessss, brings back fond memories, ran many a moto cross bike on good old Castrol R, always had to give the bike a bloody good shake just to mix the fuel and oil together before trying to start them otherwise the oil used to settle in the bottom of the tank and the float bowls and would be a complete nightmare to start. We don’t really recommend it for use in modern machinery because there are more suitable modern oils available such as Castrol Power 1 Racing 10W-40 and Castrol Power 1 GPS 10W-40. Castrol has a long and proud history developing motorcycle lubricants and has worked with bike manufacturers and racing teams to push the limits of oil technology. Castrol R used to always separate from the fuel that's why we had to shake our bikes before we started them (I still do that now!
