The Super Enamel paints use the same colour numbers, but have refined formula with very small pigment more suitable for airbrush application. However, with the introduction of Super Enamel some of the old colours losted in this chart have been discontinued. if you don't want to buy a load of new paint, there are TLAR RAF and USAAF matches.... or, as you do Swedish, some of those can be used... how 'accurate' do you want to be? Hi Shane - what Ian says is true. its more of a very very subtle texture than a "weave' pattern - its just adds some life to a flat single colour surface.

It seems that PC10 could be a dark green or a dark chocolate colour with an infinite number of shades in between. A lot would depend on how strictly the mix instructions were adhered to, but for observers the problem is that it is different colours in different light. I've been to flying evenings at Old Warden when they've had the Pup, Triplane, SE5a etc on display and you'd be pushed to nail the colour down. Ed, that's a great comparison chart. Is it just me or do the Testor Model Master series appear to be the best matches here?FAA Extra Dark Sea Grey:- To 50 parts of XF24 (dark grey), add 6 parts XF2 (white), and 3 parts XF8 (flat blue). I've had sample sheets of these - and the differences between British CDL, German linens and French are noticeable. Its beautifully subtle stuff too. RLM 76 - 40% Humbrol 65 and 50% Humbrol 28 and 10% white. Mostbrands of 76 have far too much 'blue' in them. Under certain lighting conditions RLM 76 was very bland.. Aviattic have just released (or are just about to) decals of clear doped linen! Light and dark German, British, French, plus PC10 and 12 with the weave pattern of the fabric evident!

These new Acrylic Dropper Bottles enable easier colour blending using the bespoke Humbrol Paint Palette (AG5111). There is no "scale" as such to the decals. The weave pattern is so subtle, but noticeable, that it will work well in any scale. Perhaps. But IMO if it's visible at all in 1/72, or without a magnifier in 1/48, it will look daft. RLM 76 - 50% Humbrol 65 and 50% Humbrol 28 , increase the proportion of 65 if you want a bluer version It gives full camouflage etc and lots of photos from which you can distinguish the two ships from each other and also the various alterations.
