It is sometimes referred to as the Alto Douro (upper Douro), as it is located some distance upstream from Porto, sheltered by mountain ranges from coastal influence. With five mountain vineyards located in different parts of the Upper Douro Valley, the world’s first demarcated wine region, W J Graham’s draws the very best wines from each important sub-region.
