And yes, I actually do like the villagers moving out at random, since it's not a hostage situation. It actually makes me attached to my villagers, and enjoy them more than anything. It was satisfying for a character I hated to move into my village, and then eventually getting excited when they moved out. It was sad when the villagers I did like left, but that's just life in general, and what gives the series it's charm. Battlefront 2 actually IS a fun game with a dedicated fan base, all of its criticism was directed towards the crappy loot box system. Also, what on earth are you talking about when you say that Animal Crossing New Horizons doesn’t have any real progression system like past games? I’ve played hundreds of hours of New Leaf and I can’t think of a single progression system it has that Horizons doesn’t, please elaborate. Horizons actually has Nook Miles and an achievement system, so if anything it has more progression than any other game in the series. Like @johnvboy here said, your bias is showing and you’re pointing to a minority group of complainers on the internet to feed it. The game sold well (which does mean that people like a game, hate to burst your bubble), and it’s a critical darling with game reviewers. Yeah these look 10 times better than the cardboard tokens for Space Jam 2 Monopoly, based on a big budget Hollywood movie.
